I had my back surgery and am pain free from that but I have nothing for the hip pain so was wondering do they give you something after the surgery?

Yes, you should be given strong pain meds post op. Your specialist will gradually wean you off week by week. The amount and type of pain meds vary depending on where you live and how your doctor feels about them. Make sure that you find a specialist who understands the need for assistance for the first 2-3 months.
