Yes, the doctor did warn me that Plaquenil can cause damage to the macula, it a form of bull’s-eye maculopathy but the dermatologist advised I get a base line exam from my optomologist and get frequent eye exams to watch for any changes. Yes, I'm willing to try it as the other oral meds have awful side effects too. I guess it' called choose your poison at this point.
Thanks for asking. It just reminded me to make an eye appt.
