What should I expect during recovery from cystocele and rectocele surgery?

I've facing surgery in a week and have reservations.  Would like to know how others have recovered.

    I’m on my ninth week after surgery and developed an intense pain on left side of my rectum that is causing pain to my left cheek down to my leg sad it’s unbearable. The soonest Dr can see me is a week from today but I can’t stand very long it’s to painful, has anyone developed anything like this? Help sad

      Hey Andrea, Sorry I have no idea. Sounds like nerve pain though! Hope you get it sorted soon x

    I have a question. I had rectocele repair surgery done about 12 days ago. 4 days after surgery I went pee and had quite a bit of what I assumed was clotting come out. My concern is I now how a very distinct foul odor coming from there. i dont know if this is typical and i dont say dr for another week

      Hi Kari, there is a distintive odour for a little while but it goes away. Im not so sure about the clotting. I didnt have any of that. I would phone the hospital where you had the op and ask to speak to gynae. I was told to do that if I had any problems. I had my op last July xx
