Walk, put one foot in front of the other, walking helps.
Relaxing music, also with visuals, the sounds of the sea and birds.
Being in nature, touching the plants, putting my feet on the grass makes me feel grounded.
Focusing on something interesting, keeping my mind occupied.
Cuddling!
Foot massage
Talking to my goldfish!
Tactile things, like jewelry making, sewing, cooking, offering a massage to someone.
Yoga.
Tai Chi
Sleeping.
Watching funny animals on youtube.
Decorating my home.
Helping someone else.
Talking it through.

In the early 90's I was lucky enough to be referred to one of the leading experts and a pioneer of CBT, Professor Arnold Lazarus at Rutgers University in New Jersey. Prof Lazarus completely changed my outlook when he said: "Every time you think "what if....(supply whatever catastrophe you think is imminent), add the word SO at the beginning. Now you have "So what, if?" You start understanding that nothing is going to happen other than whatever nonsense runs through your head. SO WHAT IF is the one that did it for me. Prof Lazarus was an amazing man. He personally replied to a few letters of mine later and gave me some free life advice - this was in pre-email days

CBT did help when during a regularly scheduled physical the MD found a suspicious lump in my throat. Usually this would be the beginning of endless night of no sleeping and and overwhelming worrying since I was not scheduled to see an ENT specialist
However instead of catastrophic anxiety I asked some questions. What was I worried about?. That it might be a malignant tumor. But what do I actually know at this moment. Right now? I possibly have a growth of an unknown origin
That is all I knew. But instead of searching the internet for hours looking up the what it's. Every time I I thought about the growth and the fear would begin to percolate I would calm myself with the word "unknown". I was relatively calm while waiting for the appointment. The day if the appointment was a little challenging. I mean this could be a life changer.
When the doc called me into her office she did a thorough examination. Twisted my tongue. Looked all the way down my throat. Did some kind of scope. Her diagnosis was that it was a fatty tissue which was perfectly normal.
That was a life changer for me. I have regular physicals every since. Nut I am well aware that there is a very high incidence of misdiagnosis. Now, if I have a symptom that isn't an emergency I will wait for a few days and if it doesn't get resolved or get worse I will get it checked out.

I had my first panic disorder about 3 years ago. Since then, these steps had helped me:
1. Professional Help.
2. Spiritual Help.
3. Self Awareness and Acceptance.
4. The "Google" Help - read books about the condition.
5. Friends and Family's supports and understanding.
6. Avoidance - avoiding scenarios that will freak me out.
7. Sleep Well, Eat Healthy and Exercise

walking for atleast 30 mins daily helped my anxiety ALOT , stop googling symptoms ,and stop going to the doctor and fetching about diseases, and not to stay alone for a long time so that i dont overthink it.
my Dr told me that he has never seen an agoraphobia or anxiety patient that didnt become better with meds.
And i always remind myself that there is a cure for EVERYTHING. why do we always use " nothing lasts forever" only for the good things??
i take my strength from god, i know god is always there for me, and wont leave me in pain in the middle of no where.

Probably not everyone will get better with medication. I tried medication, and it didn't seem to help me. I may not have tried it long enough to really see if works. I have a cousin that takes medication for anxiety and shr doesn't seem to be getting better from them. When I was on the medication and read the possible side effects, I know for sure anxiety was a side effect, and maybe having suicidal thoughts was another.

It took quite a while for me to finally find
A med that helped my anxiety and panic attacks. Mine had gotten so bad that I was literally waking up in a full blown panic attack at least 4 nights a week. It took about 3 weeks for my cure medication to start working but when it did.. my anxiety and panic attacks stopped just as suddenly as they'd started.
There are so many meds now and many of them take a few weeks to start working..
I wish you the best, hopefully you will find something that works for you bc anxiety is horrible
