When will this get better 😥

I'm coming up to 6 weeks now on 40mg citalopram and the past few days have been really difficult again!

morning anxiety is so hard to deal with

My mood is really low

I was finding evenings a little easier but that doesn't seem to be happening anymore.

My anxiety is still bad

I just feel like giving up atm and that these tablets aren't gonna work for me anymore. It's so hard not to go to the doctors to switch to something else. How much longer do I have to keep going for? Surely I would have seen some improvement by now.

Hello! I do have natural herbs chamomile and passion flower and benzo klonopin as well. Have you ever heard of natural remedies?

What is the story on benzo use?

Some people hate these because they cause tolerance and withdrawal and addictive properties.

How do you know your celexa is working on a benzo?

A benzo is a muscle relaxant so you should feel its effects pretty quick it'll calm you and the anxiety down a little bit and you will be able to tell its working. You'll also feel it wearing off after an hour or a few It should deffo help the anxiety. The citalopram will take a lot longer to kick in and you won't feel much change because it'll be a gradual process. I have tried natural remedies but never really did much for me. Camomile tea is meant to be good but taste like poo lol. Make sure with the herbal remedies you make sure they don't mix with your citalopram most don't but some will so worth a quick Google x

Benzos are less addictive at lower amounts and you shouldn't get addicted as long as you use it sparingly. I took it for a year everyday years ago and never got addicted or had withdrawals but everyone is different x

So I managed to go out with my son today it was really difficult and felt overly anxious the whole time but I done it! No beta blockers and no benzo either. Just me and the anxiety lol. I'm still feeling super anxious but I'm sure that will calm down.

Hello! What kind thoughts you all get?

What do you do for them ?

    They make me feel unwell.

    Any suggestions ?

My thoughts are always about whatever is causing my anxiety eg. Having to go somwhere, I think the worst is going to happen. Even though it never does. I have thoughts that I'm never going to get better or this is the best ill ever feel but they come in waves. I can go from feeling optimistic to being terrified 50 times a day it's a pain in the ass. It's like a wave of dread or panic and I either panic or get teary when it happens it's horrible. But to be honest is different things everyday. I haven't quite worked out how to deal with them but when a negative thought pops in my head I try to counteract it with something positive about the same issue. Keeping busy helps too.

when i had bad thoughts or worry thoughts i use to splash my face with real cold water.just the shock of it would calm my mind down

i also use to put peppermint oil on my temples and the back if my neck so that the brain concentrates on the tingling sensation instead of mental anguish.
