Where are all the missing people?

I'm wondering if we have lost a lot of people who had been on for a long time. I know I almost gave up with frustration but hung on and now I have got the hang of this forum again I am managing to work it out but I cannot get the emojis.......just a square. Perhaps that sums me up.....square. Now that gives away my age! I am missing the 'oldies' though it's good to have some new company. Perhaps they have all gone in to remission, in which case, I'd like to know how they are and any tips they may have. I know. We're all different so it won't necessary work for us all but it's good to know.
Meantime, I'm thinking of changing my name to Michelin. I am about to look out my padded black coat and hitch a ride on the Michelin tyre lorry. I could give the wee ( Scottish for small) man on the lorry a fright and do him out of a job but it'll be a wee bit cold on top of the cab now. My English cousins found our use of the word wee hilarious. We have snow gates in use and roads closed already...........unusual for October.

I woke up this morning and realised that I have not received posts from the forum for weeks! so I just went back in now to see where everyone had gone..... and yours is the first post I read!
I see the format has changed and I will have to sit down and learn about all the new stuff.
so, no luck with your suggestion that pmr has been overcome - well not yet:-) fingers crossed though

You have not been alone in this. I was off for weeks and wondered what had happened. You may have missed some of the problems but there has been an ongoing thread about it . They are gradually being fixed but some of us haven't been able to get the emojis yet.
Now you are back on you should be ok as emails have been coming through aplenty since I managed to get back on to the forum.

Hi ricky23486,
Your email address was showing as blocked which is why you weren't receiving emails. I have removed that report so you should now start getting the emails again although you have switched one option off re getting emails when someone replies to you.
Regards,
Alan

Hi Alan,
Thank you for switching me on again! Can you tell me, please, how to switch on the option of getting emails when someone replies to me?
Thanks - I feel like I exist again!

Ricky
