which is the best hrt to take at 61?

I am 61. Please do not tell me about any natural alternatives and the risk of HRT. I had a partial hysterectomy at 40 because of a prolapse and no serious symptoms. I took Oestrogen 2mg from age 50 and it worked like a charm. Affected by all the propaganda and the arbitrary 5 yr rule I stopped at 60. I stopped abruptly without titrating down and had hellish withdrawal symptoms which lasted for about a month. In the past 8 months I have tried 3 different natural remedies that work for other people but not for me. My simple question is which which oestrogen hrt treatment should I take with my history? I am NOT interested in any other input just a product name to ask a doctor to prescribe

I am in my 71st year and still very happily taking HRT. I am on Livial (Tibolone) 2.5mg. I think you may find a posting I did a few weeks ago entitled - New 'Positive Report' on HRT reported - interesting. It was regarding an article in the Daily Mail, a UK newspaper printed on 10th February 2015 under the heading 'TAKING HRT IN YOUR 50s 'CUTS RISK OF PREMATURE DEATH & HEART DISEASE' I also state my views on the subject of HRT which you may find interesting too.
I am a great advocate of HRT no matter what your age. A great book to also read on thIs subject is by one-time Member of Parliament, Teresa Gorman. It's called HOORAY FOR HRT. She is in her early eighties now and was still taking HRT when she was interviewed by the Daily Mail by Jane Fryer on 27th October 2012 under the heading STILL FRISKY AT 81 THANKS TO HRT!
I'm always here if you want to ask me any questions.
Regards, LadyPink

I had a total abdominal hysterectomy when I was 40 (57 now) Estraderm transdermal patches were given to me immediately. Never looked back. No hot flushes, stable mood, fluctuating weight , but nothing to shout about. Generally for the past 17 years been symptom free. After a scare last Summer of a possible TIA was taken off the patch without further ado! After extensive tests no evidence of TIA. Asked if possible to return to Estraderm patches. Not a chance. Since last Summer, approx 9 months on I have hit a brick wall. Night sweats, anxiety and panic attacks, skin that looks like an Elephant' s bottom, feel like I have completely lost the plot! Big time. My GP, a young, 30 something male believes I am depressed and offered me anti-depressants. Well , I just might be, because I am no longer on the HRT. He doesn't think it wise to go back down the HRT route as Sertraline will help with all my problems I appear to be having. Not anywhere near. Stopped taking them. Made me really unwell of which Estraderm did not!
I would be very interested to hear if you were successful in obtaining a prescription for a new dosage. Good luck with that one!
