Hi bini, I take a probiotic supplement every morning other than that I try and eat healthy. No ready meals or horrible additives (if I can help it). Lots of fruit and veg and fish etc etc etc. I also take a vitamin D tablet - when I remember!!!!

Raw veggie smoothies are your friend. Beetroot, celery, turmeric root, strip of ginger, couple of carrots, cellery, lemon peel, an apple and some organic tomato juice. Mmmmmm. Make lots because you'll want lots. If you can't find organic, make sure it is well scrubbed because you're you're going to juice these peel and all! YUM!!

Bini, I agree with Catrin about the vitamin D!

But Vit D is no good in its own. It mist be taken with specific other vitamins to activate it fully. I'll look it up.

Did some research, Annie, and also found:

      - D3 is preferable, more effective to D2

      - Taken at night, it may affect sleep, so morning dose is better

      - 1000U is the recommended amount

Annie, I was doing a kale/apple/orange smoothie but have a new prescription that does NOT agree with that. sad

That's interesting- a few years ago I was prescribed a vitamin D injection as my levels were so low. Felt fantastic afterwards. Now they are low again and have been for some time but NHS no longer prescribes the injection you have to take the supplement. I have tried various ones but all of them mess with my (admittedly weak) stomach so I've stopped. I know I need them and have asked at GP if I could pay for an injection but they just looked at me as if I had two heads!!! I might try with a main meal and see if it makes any difference

Are the pills not available at your local pharmacy? I find it is not expensive and you can protect your tum by having it with a meal.

Yes I get the tablets from my chemist- as I pay for prescriptions is cheaper wha I wanted was to pay for an injection or ge one prescribed. The issue isn't really with my upper stomach but as it winds its way down - if you get my drift and nothing seems to help
