why do i constantly feel nausea?

I am constantly feeling sick!! it doesnt start first thing in the morning but throughout the day it just emerges. its now at the point where i choose not to eat if i feel sick because i completely loose my appetite, which is making it worse because im then hungry too( but eating just makes it worse)

I also have severe emetaphobia (the fear of vomit) so i am constantly worried about being sick due to it(another reason i dont eat if i feel sick, to prevent vomiting)

I have counselling for the emetaphobia so when i feel sick it is cast off as being 'in my head' by my counsellor and family.

i feel like i am stuck because i dont want to go to the doctors incase they give me any medication that has vomiting as a side effect but i cant keep feeling the way i feel because it is taking over my life.

There has got to be a cause for the nausea, i refuse to believe it is my 'anxiety' from emetaphobia that is making me feel this way.

I sometimes have really bad headaches that last for 5-10 minutes consisting of sharp pains in the head and over the eyes. I also have shooting pains in my lower abdomen, but whether this is linked to the nausea i dont know.

Any suggestions????

I constantly feel sick all day, unless I'm heavily distracted. Because of this, I'm not sure if there is something wrong with me but this has been happening for almost a year. Should I see a professional?

(BTW I know you send out this question a few years ago,BUT I still had a response(sorta) to give you. I hope your felling tons better right now and living life nausea free.)

    Honestly girl me .

too. I've been feeling so nauseous for the past couple of p months . Il feel so nauseous that I can sleep(legit only sleep for 4 hours last night) and can't eat without me feeling so incredibly gross. But worst of all, I am SO SCARED of throwing up that every time I think that I might...my stomach becomes a huge not...making me queasy...and even more nauseous then before. But you know what I do? I drink lots of water, keep a garbage bag real close (just in case),and take deep breaths. Eat easy foods that are easy for your body to digest(bread, rice ect). You can never be too,too sure on why you feel nauseous. I'm sorry if I was no help. I'm just happy I found someone I can relate with.

Have you been tested for Gastroparesis? It's slow emptying of your stomach. It makes you very nauseated. I have had it for many years. It's no fun. Let me know if you want more info.

Mines throughout the day at random times but guaranteed when I eat I don’t get the lumps in my neck but I always feel I’m bout to vomit and when I eat it’s 2 times worse. But I can’t even eat a lot I’ll take a few bites and I’ll feel full and sick but I haven’t eaten the whole day it makes no sense. Help

Yeah, that sounds a lot like my problem. I’ve gone to numerous doctors, and none of them can seem to figure out the problem. One of the doctors I went to though did suggest that i might have cyclic vomiting syndrome (which is exactly what it sounds like), but isn’t sure because it doesn’t fit the bill exactly. Though if and when I figure this out, I’ll definitely post the solution here, since it seems a lot of other people are experiencing this too.
