Why is it so hard to get on citalopram? ?

Hi everyone, I'm day 21 of getting back on to citalopram 20mg, I suffer mainly from health anxiety and worry about becoming ill or dying, I also have mild depression, I'm really suffering bad with side effects, this is my second time on this tablet and I'm never coming off again x

    Hi all, how's your day been, I've been much better, bit anxious now but nothing compared to last week or the week before, long walk and ate all my dinner, sounds so weird that thats even an achievement! xxx

      Hi marf I'm really pleased you've had a good day, I was going to ask how everyone's eating is going, something I'm.still struggling with, I haven't had the best of days, x2 diazepam, but none yesterday, I'm trying to slowly move my tablets to later in the day to see if it makes a difference xxx

      I would def move it to the evening then you can sleep through the worst bits xxx fingers crossed you have a better day tomorrow 😘😘

      Thank you, It's a right roller coaster ride, I'm really struggling to eat, It's driving me mad, I'm really pleased to see progress in everyone, I'm looking forward to seeing my new doctor Tuesday xx

    Had a better day too few bouta of anxiety but nothing compared to 3 weeks ago, taking one day at a time.

    i have started to get my appetite back slightly, I can't eat at all during the day but I'm starting to eat my dinner which is great like you marf I know that sounds silly but for 2 and. Half weeks I only ate one banana daily!!!!!

    lizz you had a wee blip today that happens, hopefully after a good nights rest you mite feel better in the morning xxxxx

      I'm exactly the same, I can't eat all day , just drinking water, but managing something in the evening, that's made me feel a lot better, I need to get back to thinking 1 day at a time instead of negatives, tomorrow is another day, I'm praying its good for us all, sending hugs xxx

      I've been doing bananas too!! It's a bizarre ride, let's hope it calms down soon! I'm now panicking I've got to work tomorrow but I think I just need to suck it up and get on with it, this journeys not killed me yet!!! xxx

      Thanks, I'm a childminder so I'm in my own house but to have to be on my toes all day is scaring me, I take comfort from Sparkly, she has had to deal with a baby throughout this whole process!! xxx

    Hope you have a good day, I'm feeling a wee bit anxious this morning but was able to do the school run and am going to do a wee bit of Christmas shopping this morning but not trying too much just for an hour baby steps

    Marf I hope you get on ok with work, babies keep you busy if nothing else, if it gets to much just go into the bathroom for 2 mins and take 10 big deep breaths and try and say to urself you are

    Ok that's what I do

    I slept a wee bit better last night but always wake up with that feeling of o no another week ahead but hopefully that will pass soon

    Certainly feel I have improved from 3 weeks ago xx

      Hi sparkly, I'm glad your well, and seeing an improvement, I've just had my first phone counselling, and they are putting me on a by course, day 27 for me today, up and dressed, took 2mg diazepam as I'm still not great on a morning, but I've managed to keep a bit busier, cleaned the kitchen, put some washing on, like you I'm trying to take baby steps, having half hour rest then I'm going to give the bathroom a clean, then for a walk along the beach with the hubby, try walk of some excess adrenalin xx

      Awwwe marf well done, I'm so happy for you. Xxx I've not had a bad day, just took my morning diazepam, managed to do so housework, and although I was really like you jittery I managed a beach walk with the hubby, and he took me for lunch and I managed to eat a little xxx

      You ate?? Woo hoo xx it's mad what counts as an achievement but three weeks ago we were so much worse, well done and let's hope tomorrow is good too xxx
