Will fluoxetine work for me again?
Posted , 22 users are following.
I was on fluoxetine before for a few years and it worked well. I came off of it like a year and a half ago and only recently decided to go back on it again. I have been on it for just over 3 weeks so far and it's not helping me at all yet. I'm getting worried that maybe it won't work this time around. When i started it 3 weeks ago i would get waves of feeling normal which lasted only a few minutes but now i'm just feeling indifferent and have been for the last two weeks.

hey @Shadow19422 i saw that you have fully recovered on these meds if you dont mind me asking how long did it take you to feel like yourself again.....I have been on 40mg fluoxetine for 11 months and 1 week I am getting there but would just like to know how much longer i have to go I had ptsd , agoraphobia , anxiety and depression
My symptoms are defaintly way better i had really bad heart palputations which have calmed down alot only have them sometimes...Im still struggling with anticipation anxiety about leaving the house but can get out abit more now....But i still have no motivation for life and my confidence is not fully there....Becuase i have suffered with anxiety for some many years i have no friends anymore plus i movef to a whole new place aswell....Also do you get the joy back to start dating again as i just dont have the motivation or drive to start a conversation whether online or offline...I used to be really active but now feel like a hermit....I know i dont need to up my dose as i know i can recover on this dose i just was wondering how do you know if your tecovered and isit just a coping thing with this meds or can you fully recover
thanks n

I have had horrible symptoms due to my anxiety too. I think I made a mistake of changing medications too soon(3 meds in 8 months). I tried lexapro, cymbolta and finally I am on prozac generic brand.
Npower, I hope you are feeling better. I have been following this forum and thanks to all participants for writing their experiences. Only someone who goes through depression and anxiety can understand how we feel.
I also wonder how is Shadow19422 and the other participants feeling.
