Another year of PMR come and gone, new people arrived, some left. But one thing hasn't changed: the support of like-minded people.
Best wishes to you all!

Same her Eileen let’s eat and drink for one day and try to forget PMR. Hopefully all will be able to delegate the clearing away after Xmas lunch and given a nice cup of tea.

Thanks Eileen. Warmest of wishes to you and your family. Merry Christmas! This is my 4th Christmas with PMR (diagnosed) and I'm pretty sure there are a few more to come. The gift of your advice throughout the years has been so greatly appreciated,.

Yes, still in Calgary Eileen. And your right, a week ago it was +10C and we were thinking it would be a green Christmas. Today it's -19C and there's about 20 cm of the white stuff out there! Still better than our Arctic home where it's -37C, -44C with the wind chill!!
We head back to Panama on New Years day and I'm looking forward to getting back to the warmth. I had to accept being in a minor flare a few days ago. Not sure if it was the travel or the cold, or a combination of both, but an added 2 mg has done the trick.

I found the well over 20C drop in temps when we came home from Malta caused a minor niggle or two. Today we had -10C overnight - and up on the mountain it was +5C all night and then the sun shone! I hate think what the snow is like! But on Wednesday and Thursday it may snow - will definitely precipitate further south but will be rain in the valleys. And I'm sure I can feel the incipient change in the weather...

Warmer on the mountain than lower down??? Sounds like you have to deal with lots of fluctuations.
Niggles I can deal with. However, all over muscle stiffness increasing over a week is a bit too much. I felt like I'd been hit by the proverbial truck.
Now it's a question of how long to stay at this level and how to manage tapering back since I'll have two days of travel and a 40 degree, or more, increase in temperature in a weeks time. Not to mention the increase in humidity!

Cold air sinks... It's called Foehn, Alberta calls it Chinook. When it blows properly it warms up the narrow valleys too but it is coming from the south this week so is cold here. It's called inversion, for obvious reasons!

Happy Christmas, Eileen. It's a very wet one here and the forecast is for ice overnight as it freezes! It's definitely been a dreich day. I'm going nowhere tomorrow and the family arrive so hoping the roads will be ok. I echo the others sentiments and thank you for your amazing input even when you are on holiday.
Best wishes to both you and your OH. Mine is snoozing already and all is peaceful until he starts snoring.

Just off to the pizzeria for Xmas Dinner! We get rain/snow tomorrow for a couple of days. From the south - so the snowline will be highish. As long as we don't get ice like last time! But I have bought chains for shoes now - don't want to go flying again

I saw them in Innsbruck last week - and didn't get them! Then it snowed here and I slipped - result one rather black knee But arnica has helped and it doesn't hurt. No plaster cast required!!!!
I had local moon-shaped potato pasta ravioli, red white and green: beetroot. plain and spinach in a ton of butter. Superb!!!!! David had pizza...

That sounds bad. I hope you have done no permanent damage.
I think the shoe chains will be like hens' teeth here at the moment as we had a bad spell of snow and ice.
Your meal sounded delicious. The best part would be no cooking and no cleaning.
