Has your GP checked your adrenal function at any point?

I had the short synacthen test about 3 years ago but had a bad reaction to the product so I don't want to have that again. Instead I had the blood test before 09.00 to check the concentration of cortisol in the blood, apparently that is a reliable indication that the adrenal glands are working.

Coincidentally my husband came in a few minutes ago from the doctor's office and he has a Vitamin B12 deficiency. So I looked it up. Dizziness is one possible symptom. So I'm wondering whether some deficiency or other could be the cause of your dizziness if no other logical cause can be found?

Lack of B12 also induces brain fade! That's what I was told and that's what I took.
Thanks for this - now to look up what has B12 .
'Vitamin B12 is naturally found in animal products, including fish, meat, poultry, eggs, milk, and milk products. Vitamin B12 is generally not present in plant foods, but fortified breakfast cereals are a readily available source of vitamin B12 with high bioavailability for vegetarians' .
Well there you go then.
But in my defence I drink about a litre of full cream milk every day.

Taking an acid blocker(Ppi or H2 blocker) can interfere with B12 absorption. Chronically low B12 has been associated with dementia.

I believe there is a certain kind of nutritional yeast which is high in Vitamin B12. Can be added to recipes or stirred into orange juice.
Unfortunately sometimes we lose the ability to absorb Vitamin B12 so if testing reveals this is the case then it's injected.

In UK Marmite is pretty good for vitamin B12.

I am on a one x B12 injection for three months. Much easier to remember a jab than when to take a pill! Had the first today.

Not least because in pernicious anaemia oral B12 isn't absorbed - injections mean it gets where it is needed.
