Work

Hi all. I'm really worried about losing my job. I've been off longterm twice now and think I'm going to be finished for medical inefficiency. Part of me wants this as I know I can't cope working but I'm so worried about money. Any advice would be welcomed x

I have just had 4 weeks off work and thankfully I was paid full pay. The problem with fibro is it varies in severity so claiming incapacity is a minefield. You are just told to get a less physical job which is a laugh. I have a very active job where I am walking and carrying for 5 hours. Luckily I work for asda and they are brilliant. The last time off was suggested by my manager as she was worried about my emotional wellbeing. As I have other health issues my doctor has warned me he doesn't know how long I will be able to keep working which is very worrying. The fact that some days I can move about and some days the pain is unbearable means benefits are a no no. I find cab brilliant at telling you what might be available to you.

THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF RHEMATOLGY  PUBLISHED CRITERA FOR THE DIOGNOSIS OF FIBRO IN 1990 THUS ESTABLISHING IT AS AN OFFICIAL ILLNESS. MIGHT BE HELPFUL WHEN FILLING IN FORMS.

It's good that you have supportive employers  Tracy.  I've not been that lucky. I was off for a year, back for 4 months and now I'm off again. They offer no support at all not even a phone call in the full year I was off untill I hit 11 months then was asked to go in for an interview to see when I was going back.  As I suffer with anxiety aswell you can imagine what that was like!

I can imagine because I had to go and see occy health and my anxiety is at an all time high right now. Ironically they tried to pursuade me to take more paid time off but I dont like to take advantage so I asked if I could go back.

Occy health are there to protect you and also felt they were really nice when I saw them. If you need more time off you should take it - your health is more important xx

Thanks for the suggestion of nano gold. How do I find it? The search comes up with make-up. Is it in a different supplement or called something else.

I've been told they quite often knock you back when you first claim and you should always appeal. Might be worth a try! I'm dreading it all x
