Worms in the Face

Hi All, I dont know if anyone has come across this. I have a worm infestation in my face. They travel around under the skin leaving tracks and bursting holes into my skin. they create glass like balls that split the skin open and move around my skin with ease.
I first reported it 3 months ago and the doctors totally ignored me treating me for a secondary infection that was caused by open wounds in my face. They have given me 4 courses of antibiotics treating the wrong infect but totally ignored waht I was telling ithem about the worms.
The worms whatever they are are very sharp and whereever they travel through in my face the skin collapses, leaving it like plastercine and it causes tiny splinters that are as sharp as anything that inbed themselves in the inside and outside of my skin right down to the lowest skin level. My skin is also producing a clear sticky substance which feels like little shards of glass if I touch it. All in all, it really couldnt be much worse except for the fact they have made a hole around my mouth which they can look out of. I am totally sane!
I am in pieces. I've been telling the doctors what it is and they have totally ignored me. Even refusing to refer after an A & E i visited confirmed I needed to be referred as the lesions had been on my face for so long.
I discovered I had private medical care through my company which now thank god means I've seen my first dermatologist. He's referred me to another dermatlogist that apparently knows more about things in the skin who I'm yet to see. Even though he's now put me in the right direction, I'm not convinced he was sure it is worms. I can pull 1/2 inch worms out of my skin bit by bit. They look like thread worms and never come out intact, you pull little bits off of them. It leaves worm shape dents in my face and they feel like little match sticks under the skin. Nobody is taking me seriously as people dont really get worms in the face.
They have totally destroyed me skin and I have bad scaring. I have never had acne and had no scaring. This has all been caused in the last 3 months. I dread to think how many are alive in there now they'v been left so long.
Has anyone ever heard of anything like this?

Nicolams, I'm with you, so familiar. Hubby thinks I'm having a moment for sure. Not to mention what my Dr's have said. It hurts to yawn, to look in the mirror, or the thought of going into public! It has been disrupting to my life, especially to my normalcy!

Explore fungal infection possibility
If so, a two prong approach of 200mg fluconazole once every 24 hours ALONG with topical 2% clotrimazole cream applied liberally to pre cleaned and pre disinfected eruption areas 4 times a day (in other words it's always applied but cleaned off and reapplied for a total of 4 applications per day) may produce desired cure. Although immediate results may be promising, fungal infections have a high persistence level and this may take several weeks or even months to cure. Hopefully a physician will be open to discussing such a treatment. If in first 7-14 days no notable positive response, it is likely something else but there is little to no adverse downside to a two week try, and like most anti-infectives, it is important to continue beyond visible results. All this should be done under the care and supervision of a physician of course, and this post is not advice to do anything otherwise than discuss such with your physician

I found simple 91% isopropyl alcohol (perhaps with an initial application of salicylic acid based astringent) acts as an effective disinfectant that clear off old dead "material" and paves a smooth road for 2% clotrimazole cream to better absorb

ALSO UV treatment (free when the sun is shining) also seems to add a boost to beating down of fungal infections with symptoms described herein

Hi im new to this website but I came across your article and as because I'm dealing with the same thing I am trying to respond and maybe I can help you with some or maybe you can help me with some I live in Sacramento California been dealing with this problem for about 8 months now and same thing going on doctors think I'm crazy give me some creams to try and I've been but nothing works except when I pulled them out and then it's he when it heals. if any how I can contact you it would be great to talk here is my number 626 84827 60

Omg. I have bee. living this hell for over 2 years. I can't exactly say when, where. or how i got this but definitely very dark lonely scary days and nights. I was under the care of a dermatologist but he goes out of state in winter months an then the pandemic happened. I had been spending a fortune on his "acne" treatment that he created. I had very very minimal improvement. Now for close to 7 months I have been complain ingame to my dad and my husband telling them that we have some of bugs. Finally 2 months ago my dad agreed on having exterminator come to house. I stupidly didn't collect and bag up evidence. So he asked me to do that and he sent them to a lab. They said only bug thing was a crushed blow fly. I was in tears as well as being so angry. the lathe exterminator came again and I had a bunch of zip lock baggies with tbese things y'all are describing "by the way I stumbled upon this and y'all today". It usually takes 1 week for results. Today it has been 2 weeks. In the meantime I have more baggies.
I have the most horrible husband who complains of bites but denies it to others as well as helping them think that I am delusional and losing my mind. .My mom died 2 1/2 years ago and my dad just isn't the same. He is convinced that I should be instutionalized as well as my sister thinks that. My kids who are in their 20's shake their heads and roll their eyes at me. I feel so alone and scared. I know I am a very sane person and not having a shoulder to cry on or even someone believing me really really sucks. I can't stand to shower in my shower so sometimes I use my dads all because of black and white things in there with me and bite me or whatever to cause me pain like bee stings. Tbese damn things are in the laundry and even are still on my clothes. I so badly wan t to take a thorough relaxing shower and have a clean critter free towel to dry off with. And then be able to put clean clothes on. My face is so horrible with open sores. Mark's on arms n legs.. I told my sister that I an going to have PTSD from all these and stuff. I can't stand bugs mow more than evrr. I can't begin to thmo
Does anyone have any issues with things in their nose? these like to hang around In my nose. I literally have to use a tweezers to scrape and pull them out at then my nose.

Hang in there! There are a lot of sufferers from this and the idea of it being delusional started several years ago and unfortunately those opinions posted in medical journals back then still outnumber other more current articles on Lyme and what is considered rare in the USA but not so much globally as forms of T. Solium and other tapeworm infections, including Cysticercosis which looks and acts remarkably similar to those posting here.
So get tested for Lyme (diagnostics have much potential for being inaccurate if you have been infected over 6 months but a lab in Palo Alto has state of the art abilities. DM me and i'll forward their contact info requires a doctor's prescription nothing to lose in asking your IM doc it's just blood lab work. Tape worms typically treated with Praziquantel - can't hurt to get doc to try a 3 day 25mg/kg weight per day dosage (three 8mg per dose per day 6-8 hrs apart). if that helps then youll likely need to take over several weeks. Albendazole most often prescribed with Prazi. and steroids usually prescribed as well.
what stands out though is blow fly comment. they CAN and DO infect skin - the larvae causing Cutaneous Myiasis - Don't see how they would reproduce in your skin though. You would be a host for an adult fly to lay eggs in your skin but i have not read up on that at all so maybe there is something there. Mites like Demodex an obvious possibility though
Look you are an unfortunate victim of some medical infection of some type (fungal also possible). For 99% suffering it is not delusional. That just shows up when doctors look up your symptoms. Docs go by a playbook they are not pathologists nor are they likely to specialize in human parasitic infections (not in the USA at least).
Eliminate or confirm Lyme and get your doc to try Praziquantel (and preferably Albendazole) Rx for 3 days and see if any effect. If so continue past symptoms and needs recurring Rx every two weeks til gone and no more ovum (eggs) hatching
Stay as positive as you can be - it's a tough spot but you need to try and ignore those who label you

Lyme has been discovered over just past two years to cause skin issues exactly like so many describe Labeled Morgellons, that was the culprit for many years of delusional parasitosis diagnoses. Studies have proven it is not delusional. Amazingly, 98%+ of "Morgellons" sufferers were found to be infected by Lyme Disease. Takes long term treatment by a Lyme literate doctor - About a dozen in the USA so travel likely at least initially unless Covid standards have created some new steps

Example of doctors relying upon a few doctors' opinion that this was delusional and such becoming the standard published everywhere. Turns out that was incorrect. They just weren't looking in the right areas for answers.

omg I am sorry. I am going tru it too. only my family believes me but I semt them all away even my 8 yr old because I'm afraid they will get it. so I am all alone. thank God rite now we have to wear masks and long sleeve and pants because of all the sores. idk what to do when we don't have to wear masks. I don't leave to often anyways I'm afraid to give this to anyone .I already have ptsd from this. I cant eat noodles and I vacuum 25x a day. I don't even put it away. I used to watch a variety of shows now all I do is search online to find something new and the only thing new was this forum and I am so glad I did. it was just last week that I did. I wamt to talk to people. not type its to hard . I cant get it all out.

hello I first wanted to start out and say thank you for being so brave and posting your story. I literally have tears in my eyes right now after reading your post . I have been dealing with parasite infestations for a year but over the past couple months I have been dealing with the exact problem you described. I'd like to add that I am a very clean person!!!! and so that's the most frustrating thing because a lot of times people get parasites from uncleanliness. anyways... it has destroyed me mentally and physically my face looks absolutely horrible and I have always been obsessed with my skin and proper skin care so this has been a nightmare for me. I have gone to numerous doctors and even the hospital and they think it's an insect bite and put me on antibiotics which don't help I even spent $150 for a dermatologist that was about 30 years old to tell me that I had no parasites under my kin (which he only came to that conclusion by looking at me or for 2 seconds. needless to say I was extremely upset to say the least. these doctors don't take me seriously and I even had one person tell me it's all in my head!!! No it's not all in my head I'm freaking pulling out pieces of worm from my face. My family thinks I'm crazy they look at me like imma whack job but I'm telling you this is a problem and I am miserable I literally I want to put a bullet in my brain some days but calm down people I'm not actually going to do that. pulling out the worms is extremely painful but the worst part about it is they grow back 2 seconds later and it's usually glazed over with a crusty glass shard substance the best way I could describe it is if you put nail glue on your skin and then scraped It Off. I've also noticed black flies that go into my skin as well. I was surprised to see all the replies I thought I was alone in this struggle and I'm so glad that I am not I can use all the advice anybody can give me because at this point I can't go on dealing with this any longer I can't take it anymore some days it feels like my face is in a red ant pile. there is an infestation in my car as well that is hard to get rid of they are also in my clothes in the seams of my clothes they're in my hair under my skin in my face I also have them on my legs. I have so many scars from this past year in dealing with all this crap I don't understand why I got all these infestations I am a very clean person I take two showers a day I have wonderful hygiene I am not living in a gutter. I was wondering if anybody might be thinking that the bugs can be coming over here from certain drugs that you get on the streets...just a thought. . tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I'm going to visit my sister she said that if I want to show her them in my face she's willing to look at it and I can't wait because now she can see what I've been going through ...I tried to show my mom but she just looks away and says she doesn't see anything. if anybody's going through this then I was so excited the day that my mom bought me an appointment with a dermatologist ...unfortunately is someone that I have never been to. so when this gorgeous young doctor walked in the room I said to myself . .o boy. I came prepared I did everything right.. I had pictures I had samples of the bugs and i had my research. but like I said the quack looked at me for 2 seconds and said I had no parasites in my face and that it would be a waste of money for him to send off for a skin sample. what I want more than anything is to go to someone that knows what they're doing that has seen this problem before and that will treat me like an adult and not a stupid idiot that thinks I'm crazy. I live in Florida I'm willing to drive anywhere in the state of Florida if anybody has any referrals please help me please I'm begging I don't know what to do or if anybody has any advice on what to take either home remedy or otherwise please let me know has anybody tried doxycycline?? And I'm thinking about buying two bags of pumpkin seeds tomorrow anyways LOL I can use all the advice anyone can give me . thank u. now im going to pour me a strong vodka drink and hope for fead back.

I'm going tru something also. not the exact same as you. but u mentioned doxy. I am taking it. I just stated the other day,I gta take 2 a day for 30 days. I did 1 dose of Ivermectin that worked for a day and then they were back worse . I have these hairlike strands( I finally got a pic of 1 the other day and did a Google search and it came up as dog heartworm. I walk around with a lighter and soon as they come out of my. if I can catch it I lite it up. also I see them all over my clothes. they get intertwined in the threads and I just use the lighter up n down my clothes. but they only take a break from comn out. most of them will fly out and get some exercise and dance around then they fly back inside me. it's hard to catch it on video cause they r fast but it's hard to hold the phone and get it to where you can see them. the lighting has to be perfect .but I do have pix of them by themselves. just not coming in or out. I forget what I even wanted to say. I got off track. there is so much to say that I can't get it all out. I'll let y'all know how it works. yes every Dr says we r delusional. well I had a dermatologist prescribe me to get a CT scan. he actually said if you hit your head in a certain spot it can make you break out in the spots where I have sores. lmfao!! I'm 45 like I don't know the difference between acne or worms squatting in my face, that got smart too cause when they feel me coming they get the hell out of there liek I'm housing police.
