Worried about large ovarian cyst, possible cancer and operation

Hi Everyone
I am 60 and was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst on Tuesday after a routine scan on my gallbladder. The cyst is 8.7cm x 5.5cm approx 31/2 inches by 21/2 inches) I had a CA125 blood test on Thursday afternoon because, although most of the cyst looks to be fluid, there is a solid part to it too (but don't know the result yet). I am really worried about what is going to happen to me, whether it is cancer or not, but also how the operation will be done with such a big cyst. Could they still do this with keyhole or will it need to be the bigger operation?
My doctor has referred me to the consultant as urgent to be seen within two weeks, but she is now on holiday until Tuesday so I cannot talk to her..
Has anyone else been in a similar situation (especially at my age)? How did they do the operation and what did they remove, just the cyst, the ovaries as well, or more? How long did it take to get over it?
I would be very grateful for any information anyone can give me please?
Best wishes
Kathy

I had the cannula and blue dye CT scan yesterday. Do you mean the CA125 blood test? If so, I had that a couple of weeks ago. I am seeing the consultant on Wednesday next week so should have my results then. It's such a worrying time isn't it?

Just heard from my doctor and the pathology came out clean! I am sooooo relieved, I want to go out and have a drink. Actually, make that many, many drinks.
I don't know what I would have done without everyone's amazing support. Kath and Taz, I really, really love you! Your care and words of wisdom are so important for everyone in this community.
I will continue praying that ALL of you are included in the 95% benign range. You are all wonderful, wonderful, blessed people, and I can't wait to hear your good news too.

Sorry I did not respond sooner. I was away from the computer for a couple of days.
Afther I came out of the anesthesia, the surgeon, who is my GYN, said the cyst looked very "clean," but that we would need to wait until the pathology results came back to know it conclusevely. We got the results about 8 days later, and everything was fine.
How is your mom feeling? Is she healing okay?
My keyholes are almost 100% healed. By belly is back to normal and I feel no pain. If fact, all the symptoms I had before the surgery (back and pelvis pain) hare completely gone. I can't wait to go back to teaching karate (I miss my students), but that will have to wait a bit. I am taking Xarelto (to prevent blood clots) so I am off contact activities for a few more weeks.
I will keep sending good vibes to your mom!
