Wound infection.

a bit of a set back.  I began to get a little pain in one small area of the scar yesterday.  It gradually got worse and had me up every hour during the night and was absolute agony by this morning.  It felt as if it was very much near the surface and nowhere near the actual joint and very sore to touch.

I've been to a and e who examined the wound and could see one little bit which is red and much harder than the rest.  I 'm now on antibiotics and increased doses of painkilłers with instructions to go back if it gets any worse at all or doesn't improve within 48 hours.  I have also had to let Wrightington know.

feeling very sorry for myself.

I am glad you are on the strong ones. I hope they have kicked in,

by now, it can take a few days.

       Infections nowadays need to be

attacked. My husband is on two different antibiotics at the same time, but

one of them causes nausea. His blood is being monitored. Here we

have a doc on call over Christmas, work is back to normal on

      Monday in Portugal.

I hope your Christmas day goes smoothly.

      love Cathie

      Monday.

Your little friend I am sure appreciate your kindness. Mrs Peoperpot used to be my favourite book as a child !! It made me realise the beauty and the power of friendships with animals.

Enjoy your sparkling tea Alice and sending you huge hugs x

Poor you, you must be feeling utterly miserable. The antibiotics should clear it up as it sounds as though you got it treated quickly.

take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon.

Much better today.  Infected spot nowhere near as sore as yesterday so antibiotics are obviously kicking in.  I can now sit comfortably and move about without pain.

i'm keeping my eye on it but I really think I'm over the worst.
