Hi all, I've got my surgery on the 9th Feb but my X-rays are over a year old now. Does having new ones make a difference? does everyone get new X-rays before surgery?

    hi Joanne,

my xrays were about 6 months old ...

I think linnet is right ..

on first day post-op, a new xray was taken to make sure hardware was placed correctly. ...

    Big warm hug

      Hi Renne

Yes I also think Linnet is right, I'm just happy that it's nearly time to get this ball rolling. Thank you x

    Hi Joanne,

I had mine done on the morning of surgery (I am in Cornwall). My surgeon likes you to have a two pence piece wedged between your thighs (yes really) - something to do with measuring during the op. Mine wouldn't stay put because I kept giggling.

Twp pence piece! You'd think he would have used a 50 pence piece at least for such an important op??!  😁

      Linnet x

I wondered if anyone would get why I was giggling, Joanne. The actress Tuppence Middleton always gets me smirking as well!

Mine were about 18 months old when I had my surgery.

No difference, the OA would only have shownup as being worse.
