Yellow discharge 2 months after hemorrhoidectomy

Hello ,

I had a hemorrhoidectomy on sept 13th of this year. Three large internal hemorrhoids were removed. I am two months post op and still having painful bowel movements, burning for hours after going. I have also had yellow discharge all day everyday since the operation so I have to keep putting cotton there. I seen my surgeon and he wants to take me back in the operating room to take a look. Has anyobe ever experienced this? Specifically the yellow discharge never stoping? Any advice you can give me on what my next step is?

don't be too concerned about the green/yellow mucus, it's normal and should stop around the 5 week mark.

Hi, few weeks ago I came here for advise too. BM might be uncomfortable for few weeks, health specialist say up to 6 weeks but it can take longer depending on the severity of the piles you had -as my case- am 12 weeks post surgery & am feeling better, my advice is to wash your self with water not wipe after BM its less painful, also take sitz bath with epsom salts 3-4 times a day it does help ease the pain. keep a good fibre intake and drink lots of fluids.

      get well soon
