Digestive problems can be uncomfortable, confusing, and sometimes a little embarrassing. Our digestive health video hub features expert-led videos to help you understand common digestive health issues like constipation, gastroenteritis, and acid reflux. Whether you're dealing with bloating, stomach pain, or frequent heartburn, these videos offer clear, trusted advice to help you feel more in control of your gut health.
Overview
Your stomach plays a key role in overall health by helping to digest food, absorb nutrients, and support your immune system. Poor digestive health can lead to problems such as bloating, constipation, or acid reflux.
Constipation
Constipation is when you find it difficult to poo or don’t go as often as usual, often causing discomfort or bloating. It can be caused by a lack of fibre, not drinking enough fluids, not being active, ignoring the urge to go, or certain medications and medical conditions.

Gastroenteritis
Gastroenteritis is an infection that causes diarrhoea and vomiting. It is usually caused by a virus or bacteria from contaminated food, water, or contact with someone who's infected.
Stomach ulcers
Stomach ulcers are sores that form on the lining of the stomach. They are usually caused by a bacterial infection (H. pylori) or long-term use of anti-inflammatory painkillers like ibuprofen or aspirin.
Acid reflux
Acid reflux happens when stomach acid flows back up into your food pipe, causing a burning feeling in your chest known as heartburn. It is common and often triggered by certain foods, large meals, or lying down too soon after eating.
Alcoholic liver disease
Alcoholic liver disease is a condition where drinking too much alcohol over time damages your liver. It can lead to more serious problems like inflammation or scarring (cirrhosis), which can really affect how well your liver works.
