100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!

Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!!  Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.

Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.

Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.

Now for the Treatment that I used daily :

From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.

12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.

Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:

Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.

After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.

Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).

I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…

This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.

Good Luck to all and may god help you!

Hi, I have also read and tried high dose vitamin D before trying my last treatment (L-Glutamine,probiotics and Xifaxan) as described on this page. It did not work for me but I do not want to comment much about it because maybe it helps combined with my treatment. I have read the stories also about some people saying getting better on vitamin D but I never could find any explanation of why and how it works in relation on IBS sufferers. I have read on this page that "MsGregor" says that it helps with the inflammation in the bowels, but so does omega 3 for example. The only thing I can pin point on it is that it helps facilitating normal immune system function, and I know from a previous doctor of mine, there is an auto immune disease ( Microscopic Colitis ) that people have high concentrations of white blood cells attacking the bowels as it was an intruder which also creates the same IBS symptoms. This is all just a Hypothesis, but I kind of suspect that those people who said that they were totally cured with only high dose vitamin D may have something related to that. But I cannot give any sure answers about vitamin D, but I can confirm that taking it will do you no harm and you got nothing to lose if you try it.

Hi maurice. You are the only person i have found online who claims to have cured sibo without relying on a strict diet forever. I was wondering if you were on any form of fiet after you took the rifaximin. Or did you just took L-glutamine supplements until you were 100% healed?

Thank you for the reply. I am glad to hear that the cure has worked for you. I am currently taking L-glutamine and plenty of other supplements related to gut repair such as omega and vitamin D. Hopefully, I can also cure my annoying sibo problem as well.

    Hello, Maurice

I am very new to this forum but have been been reading the posts and advice given and can actually say that in 20 years of suffering of what is called IBS by the doctors  I cant believe the difference  L-Glutamine has made to my life. I started taking a small amount before I ate a meal, no pain on eating, enjoyed my food, what a relief so nice to enjoy food again x

      Hi hi.hairat,

I believe the point is to take as many benefitial bacteria as you can tolerate. I think Maurice said he was taking a quarter of a SACHET (another form for VSL3), a sachet has 450 billion bacteria so thats 50+ billion, which is what he suggests  to be the right (minimum amount). I tolerate VSL3 well and was having the full sachet, 450 billion, until due to leaving in a country with difficulties to stock it, I bought the pills instead and I'm having 2 pills, 220 billion. One should be enough as per Maurice's indications though. Hope this helped!

Hi, I recommend to take a minimum of 50 billion, but of course you may take more if your body can tolerate it. Not everbody reacts the same way to very high amounts of living bacteria. You will  have to test yourself and see with the amount you are ok with. But I think that the higher the amout, the faster you will have results in controling your SIBO.

Ive had IBS D and was diagnosed originally with Colitis for over 20 years and very little has worked, including Probiotics, but I am very interested in the L Glutamine angle as my surfing has led to dozens of articles on its helpfulness with Diarrhoea. I have just purchased some powder and will be giving it a go as soon as its delivered.

I have also suffered from some form of Prostatitis for the last few years and found that a supplement named Quercetin is very helpful with that. This has led to me being more open minded about supplements and helping to avoid lots of prescription drugs which dont seem to do very much overall.

Glad to hear of the new drug in the pipeline, but here in the UK its unlikely to be released until well after the USA.

Hi, I beleive and have read in the past that L- Glutamine helps Colitis and if you add Omega 3 for the inflamation, I beleive that it will improve your symptoms greatly. Good luck and I wish you the best.

About Prostatitis, I also had that problem. I have chronic Non Bacterial Prostatitis and I take ZMA ( zinc + magnesium + vitB6) and I have total control on it now. It has already been almost a year and I never had any prostatitis since then. The main cause for Prostatitis may be deficiency os zinc in the body. If you want , give it an try, or test your zinc levels to check if it may be the cause.
