I didn't do so well. Iv been really down. The dreaded dizziness is back again and ruining my life! I should be out with my friends and working but I can't! It's making me feel depressed & I'm not depressed! It's a horrible circle and iv gone back 2 square one. I'm hoping to go DRs tomorrow to c what's going on as I was doing so well. I'm week 7 of Prozac now. How many weeks did people see a difference? And did anyone go back to square one? And DRs told them to take something else or up dosage?

that's not so good, sorry to hear that you are going backwards in your recovery, it sounds a bit like myself, I got to week 8 and hit a brick wall so went back to doctors who upped me to 40mgs and here I am now over two weeks into it, had a couple of crap days with side effects that I did'nt get on 20mgs! but overall I am much better than I ever was on 20mgs, so I'm thinking that is what you need Michelle, not a different drug but a larger dose of the one that's already in your system. guess all doctors have their own opinion as to what's best for their patients so quite what they will do I can only guess. it's so sad after all this time to feel you are back at square one
let's hope tomorrows visit gives you the help and treatment you so deserve, try a little smile
best wishes from windy Scotland...

Sorry not to be telling you a happier story :-( Not a total square one cos physically im much better but depression wise its crap. Though I do have some medical stuff im waiting for further tests and possible procedures on so might be that dragging me down but wouldnt have thought that bad.
Your symptoms / side effects may still pass, you're at about the time when mine started to ease so dont lose faith yet. But yes speak to your dr, im going tuesday and im hoping she can offer some help.
Hope it all starts easing for you soon, for both of us in fact. Will be thinking of you, let us know what doc says.
Take care. Sending hugs xx

Feel a little weird like spaced out. Horrible feeling. Iv gotta take fluxo every other day to get off it. Then will be going on new medication. Iv just booked two holidays as my dad was worried about me bless me. I hope they help centr parcs & Egypt. I'm worried about eqypt because the flight is 5 hours & I hope I don't go bad over there on the new meds
( never used to worry about flying )
Think I'm just worrying 2 much. I really need get my act together once I start the new meds. Bored staying in all time wanna be out with my friends enjoy holidays & get a job.

Hope withdrawal stuff isnt too bad for you, couple of people on here have had dizzy/fuzzy feeling for weeks on flu so it's almost def that's what it is. Hope chest pains have eased tho?
Holiday will do you good, bit of sun and change of scenery, distraction is def help so might even ease the transition for you -you lucky so n so! Can I sneak in your suitcase ;-p haha n centre parcs have that lovely spa too..... so jealous!
Im still struggling with bad blues n anxiety so dr gave me choice of upping dose or joining you on withdrawing n trying something new as dr says I shouldn't be feeling so low at this stage Favouring change of dose but ive had tons medical tests in last two months which may be stressing me n holding back my recovery. Got last test (I hope!) Mri brought forward to this afternoon with follow up n results next week so dont know whether to see how I feel after that. I cant seem to make a sensible decision myself, heads just not working properly - maybe i need to just flip a coin n get on with it ;-)
Hope your spaced feeling is better today?
Bye for now

Thanks so much for the lovely words it's actually nice to talk on here
Iv nevr been centr parcs iv heard it's lovely
my cousin has been amazing & is my best friend. Shes so supportive and Shes actu a health care assistant so was very worried about me. So she will be joining me.
If you are coming off fluxo be careful as I haven't felt great. You get the dizziness back very bad & you feel sick. Chest pains gone ( she said that's muscle pains from shaking so much ) but your right you shouldn't feel low. My mums flying it. Your mood should pick up. Mine did. Just physical symptoms were bringing me down.
Hope you don't mind me asking but what's the MRI scan for? As they keep doing my bloods but haven't suggested a MRI?
I hope your mood changes Hun. I'm sorry hear that. Stay strong
you need watch a nice comedy film and a bath xxx

Yes its good to chat on here, talking with people who 'get' what youre going through and don't judge. Even hearing about bad days helps in a way cos it stops you feeling quite so alone if you're suffering. Tho im currently just avoiding housework. .... naughty me :-)
Centre parcs is lovely, take some dvds for evenings (esp if not drinking),take or get bikes there and get booked into spa in advance (best reflexology ive ever had!). Great you have someone so good for you going as well.
I had endoscopy due to the prolonged nausea which started before ssris n went on nearly 4months n lost almost 2 stone. That led to ct scan which showed up gynae problems which eventually led to mri among other things. All a bit scary which is why I'm hanging fire on changing dose / meds as i may just be cr@pping myself because of all this going on (never been a worrier before but depression changes your reactions and ability to cope I think ).
Could be something and nothing but no matter how many times I tell myself to forget the bad possibilities my mind is running away with itself subconsciously .
Proper worry bum arent I? ;-p hopefully this will be last test n put my mind at ease that theres nothing too serious going on, the other possibilities only involve minor surgery at most .
Fingers crossed!
Take care

Mri went ok (was on pelvis not brain, they gave up looking for that yrs ago haha),Just gotta wait two long weeks for results as need to attend particular clinic session :-( every time they do one test they find something else they want to investigate -really hoping this is last one!
Im in North West so been to winfell and sherwood, both lovely but prefer sherwood for some reason (maybe because its flatter and i can actually ride a bike there as winfell very hilly! ;-) ). Like woodland lodges best.
Ive mostly been with kids so we did the pool lots which is great fun. Did one weekend with just girls n drank ate spa'd cycled talked and generally slobbed around. Had a go of archery too which was fun. Activities do get booked up quick so if you wanna keepp busy or particularly fancy an activity book before you go or when you arrive.
Does dr think you dizziness is all fluox related? Sounds pretty severe you poor thing! Hope starts to ease soon.

I found a lump on my chest & had to have needles in it so that's healing aswell ( but it all looks ok thank god ) . Had so many blood tests for this dizziness too they cause seem to c what cause is and blaming it on anxiety.
I have another blood test Booked in because they worried as iv lost 2 stone. And wanna get a MRI incase it is anything 2 do with my brain as like you say it is quiet severe and it is pretty scary. Even if nothing comes back I can be like right ok lets crack on haha.
Oh sounds so much fun centr parcs
I didn't realise there was soo many. Did any of the ones you went to have horse riding? Ours doesn't
but has other things.
Hope the results are fine. I'm sure it will be

It's shame we don't ave horse riding @ the Suffolk one.
Iv had dizziness since October I would say but not bad it gets worse ( and it's got worse since coming off fluxo so coming off is deffo effecting it ) I eat well & drink well. Chest pains eased as that happens with the shakes DR said it's muscle ache you c so it felt like my chest.
Iv just filled out some forms to have a assessment with mental health hospital to c wat help I can get. Did you get any of these by your DRs?

If they think the dizziness is just from anxiety have they offered anything to ease that? The propanalol they gave me for shakes is for anxiety among other things and lots of people on here talk about diazepam for bad anxiety. Only a thought.
Ive had acupuncture too, in fact started 2 days before nausea stopped so that may have been my trigger for symptoms abating. Anything is worth a try!
Hope you can get the dizziness under control. Take care

How did the MH assessment go?
Oh bless ya
probs had emotions flying.
Well DR said the dizziness is my anxiety but I just wanna get MRI just incase and they have booked in another blood test just incase as it is so bad I can't even get out of bed. ( I'm also coming off fluxo one every other day )
She did say Shes gonna try me on something new to ease the dizziness. But obv can't start yet. Iv forgotten the name she said but she did say it's in the fluxo family cause I wasn't bad on that. Was cit was aweful.
Do you get dizziness?
I notice lot people get it but not bad. But like mines soo bad it's ruining my life.
Iv heard about acupuntor is meant to be good. How did you find it? Did it hurt?
I'm willing try everything iv already booked in hypnotherapy as iv heard that's good.
Big hugs xx

I had acupuncture previously for back pain n other stuff and it definitely had a positive effect (my dad has crumbling spine n was on morphine patches for the pain, he had acu and came of the patches after 2 sessions!). Doesnt really hurt, needles are so fine hardly feel them. I'd recommend it just research whos good in your area.
Like you say worth trying anything. Hope you find something that helps.

DR said to me looks like fluxo is good but still not right for the dizziness. Honestly it's not nice living with this 24/7.
Gonna call em tomorrow c if there's anything they can do. ( got appointment booked fri but I'm getting fed up )
I will have to look into that Hun
thank you.
I hope the sick feeling doesn't come back for you
Hope you had a lovely weekend xx
