hello Michelle, wow that sounds nice two holidays coming up, I hope they do you a power of good and help your wellbeing in general, hope your new medication does the trick, shame about the weird fluoxetine side effects, guess I've been relatively lucky, it seems to work for me with few side effects. Take care and enjoy the holidays and before long you'll be back to youself out with your mates painting the town red smile

Your so lucky David to not get that many side effects.

The DR did say to me it's different for other people as my mums on fluxo and flying it.

I'm having very bad 2 days dizziness so bad today I can't even get out bed ( I think cause I'm coming off them )

I hope your okay David! & thanks so much! I will keep posted on here. Xx

oh my goodness Michelle you are certainly going through hell just now poor lass sad there are various reasons possible for your extreme dizziness, problems in the inner ear can cause vertigo and something called labyrinthitis, any inner ear infection/virus can upset your balance and cause the dizziness you are experiencing. I'm saying this only because that's what my doctor put my dizzy spaced out feelings down to, I blamed the fluoxetine, in fact I still think it was at least partialy to blame! Doctor put me on some anti histamine called Cinnarizine, taking 3 lots of two 15mg per day, and they do help me, not 100% but enough to make a difference. I'm very worried for you Michelle, especially with you having thoughts of better off dead, please go back to your doctor tomorrow if you can, or get them to visit you at home. Meantime a Scottish hug to support you.... ((((hugz)))) David x smile smile smile smile smile smile smile smile smile smile smile smile

They looked into my ears and said nothing wrong with my ear. How did you get vertigo tested? I'm wanting a MRI just incase & waiting for MH assessment. Coming off fluxo has deffo made

Made things worse sad really had enough. I was shouting @ my self like annoyed like mad women today & my mum was getting worried.

Thanks for the message I hate watching & putting depressing stuff but nowhere else to put it I Spose.

I will deffo ring DRs tomorrow. Do they do home visits? Do you know? Didn't think the did.

Thanks David hope your having good weekend

      Xx

must admit I'm not sure about home visits by doctor in England, they do up here in Scotland, but thinking about they must surely do home visits, probably after surgery hours smile yeah they looked in my ears but the defining thing was me lying on the bed thing and doctor had hand behind my head, then had to sit up suddenly, they watch the eyes rolling as you sit up, does that make sense? my weekend has been okay thankyou, had a walk on the beach today caught in a blizzard! good thing my skin is waterproof wink it's a good thing that you are at home with your mum when you are feeling crap Michelle, would have been so much worse had you been on your own. The MH assessment will surely help you too, when they get round to seeing you, perhaps your doctor could hurry that appointment up for you? best wishes to you, and I will keep popping on here to chat whenever you like, smile

must admit that on the whole my treatment is working quite well now, must be day 22 or 23 of the 40mgs fluoxetine for me. certainly a lot better than three months ago when I started on the 20mgs. yeah we have had loadsa snow up here and quite cold temperatures at night freezing everything solid, but it's beautiful to see, transforms the landscape into something awesome to behold. Also brings big red deer down from the hills searching for something to eat in the field opposite, there was 17 this morning! always got rosey red cheeks after 5 minutes in this weather, fresh unpolluted air which makes your eyes water it's so sharp, I would say roll on spring but I'd be wishing my life away. Hope your dad can get you to some retreat for some tlc and therapy Michelle. Vix is really nice to chat with on here, this site has been inspiring to me especially in the beginning when I was so lost and lonely smile keep smiling smile xx

It's a shame fluxo didn't work for me sad

She told me to come off them cause the shakes ( never was there ) & dizziness came back quiet bad. But I will be staying on something in the fluxo family she said.

Oh wow sounds sooo pretty smile deer! Aww!

Thanks so much. Oh yes vix is lovely smile. I'm glad this site has given you some support. It's good cause we all know and don't judge.

      Hey michelle

No that's really not good :-( bless you, sounds like you've got it real bad you poor thing! Def go back to your dr, cant carry on like this. Even if they're convinced its just anxiety surely they can give something to ease it???

This illness is so frustrating isnt it? When you feel so physically ill theres a tendency to put it down to anxiety or depression but then how do you ever know if something making you ill????

Sending big hugs , wish I could help more. Hope tomorrow is better for you.

      Take care

      Yey!

Halle-flippin-lujah!!! About time they sorted it out, if us untrained mortals had considered that as a possible cause why didnt they?????

Soooo glad they're now trying to help your dizziness, will keep my fingers crossed it starts working for you soon. Think they gave david anti histamines which helped him. Must also be relief that they've finally accepted its not normal.

I've had a better day thanks, hopefully all those winds have blown away that black cloud thats been following me :-)

Heres to a brighter tomorrow for us all!

      Take care

I think it's cause I have a better nicer DR now and She talked to me on phone I explained the better off dead thing & she said I wanna see u now! And booked me in a emergency & Shes also kept her appointment with me for Friday which fort was really good. She put me on these. I took 1 last night slept like a baby haha!

Still dizzy ( not gonna work over night I get all that ) but it's more drunk dizzy haha. She did say it can cause sleepiness so iv decided I think better take only 1 for now at night slowly get into it & I know she will agree with my decision wen I talk 2 her Friday.

Stay strong Hun! U fort about maybe doing help cause? Just to get your mood lifted? It might help! And wrap up warm and go for a nice walk or bike ride. I can't wait go bike rides again. Don't let ur mind play tricks on you.
