Advice needed....bad infestation!

Hi. So glad I found this site! I responed to another thread (how much do I not want to hear that word!) but thought I'd start a fresh one to describe my situation (hell!) and seek advice
I teach so I tend to blame the kids for the infections. I've had threadworms twice in 4 years despite being very hygenic at school. Each time they took some shifting.
My latest infestation is terrible. It started 9 weeks ago (saw worm in anus) and then realised I have been showing other symptoms but hadn't put 2 and 2 together.
I took an Ovex tablet but because you then have to do a massive clean I then took some Ovex liquid formula a week later incase I inhaled eggs in dust. I took the second Ovex at the right time. Things improved.
Into the 3rd week I took another tablet (a right pill popper I am!) just to be safe. Could I have made myself immune to the tablets?
I didn't change my diet and continued to drink quite a bit of alcohol on nights out. Lo and behold they came back with a vengeance.
I had them in my vagina and intestines (very itchy bottom). I freaked and took Ovex. 4 days later it hadn't improved so I saw my Doctor and like a fool, broke down in tears at age 30!
She couldn't work out why Ovex wasn't doing the job so she assumed it was down to my hygene on some level. I said that it was always possible that I was inhaling the eggs when dusting/hoovering etc. What a farce.
She gave me Pripsen (powder sachet). This certainly calmed them and I started to pass them (dead) BUT all the while my vagina was very sore and the discharge (sorry for the detail but it may help others!!) was 'stringy, white and worm like'.
Yes I freaked. Unsure as to whether they were dead. I assumed that Pripsen was getting rid...doing it's job. I made massive change to diet - no wine/beer, chocolate, cheese, bread. Cut down on carbs. Stopped all processed food. Bought stuff from Holland and Barrett herbal shop.
All went well until... the mucus in my nose appeared white and stringy. The flaming things had entered my nasal passages. I don't know how. I'd read on the internet that it was possible (they NEVER say this on the treatment information leaflet!). I freaked. My nose was itchy. I tried nasal spray...this was hurting my nose as there wasn't actually anything wrong per se. I continued with the cleaning and swabbing of all bodily areas.
I took another Ovex a day earlier than recommended (I could tell they were alive in my gut) and sure enough started passing dead worms in stools. Freaked again. Seriously - at this point I thought I was going insane. Couldn't sleep. Felt weak. Spending an absolute fortune on cleaning products. Started to actually throw away clothes, knickers and duvets (see, insane!!)
Okay, let me end this essay...sorry. Basically, I have one Pripsen sachet left to take on Friday but I still have stringy mucus in nose. Vagina is showing 'worm' symptoms again ...and...they are coming out of my eye discharge (not kidding!). I have no idea if they are alive as they are soo small and stringy (like the nose). Worse when I wake up in the morning. I was getting more crusty sleep in the eyes...then I had a proper look...and got a hell of a shock. Nearly vomited even though they were tiny and dead.
I am in hell. I do not know how to kill them in these areas. The internet says it's possible for them to reach these regions but offers no solutions.
I'm eating soo much fruit but I read that this could encourage. I just don't know what to do for the best. I am exhausted - I can't sleep, have rings under eyes, my hands are soo sore and fingers look like I've been in the bath for a month. I won't have friends over and they have noticed 'I'm ill'. School starts tomorrow and I am dreading it.
Sorry for the ramblings but I wanted to be honest and give a complete picture!
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE?
Anyone ever had the discharge in the eyes, nose, vagina (sorry guys)
I am at my wits end and soo run down with all this.
Thanks for your time.

I have been following this thread for few months now, but found no solution to my problem. Please read my history and let me know if you have any ideas how to proceed…..
I started having symptoms a year ago: at night I had this crawling sensation around my backside area. Same problem had my 6 year old son. I assumed it’s pinworms as apparently they are very common, especially when it comes to school children. All family members had 1st dose of mebendozole. My symptoms were escalating. I was itchy during the day as well. My son got worse as well, but the other family members had never exhibited any symptoms at all.
Thinking that mebendozole was not effective we all had pripsen followed by 2nd dose of mebendosole and after that 2nd dose of propsen.
I started having wriggling sensation inside my ears, nose, under the skin. I was totally freaking out and went to GP who referred me to Hospital for tests. Nothing was detected and doctors decided that having pinworms in other body cavities is impossible.
I started reading related blogs about pinworms and devised a plan. Change of diet to low sugar, reduced meat – mainly vegetable diet. Using clove oil in hot baths and implemented insane cleaning routine. I mean: regular change of bed linens, frequent cleaning of whole house; including window lace, curtains and getting rid of unnecessary items on surfaces in order to wipe everything more often. Personal hygiene is equally strict.
I remember once I read the information published on this forum that it is possible to have pinworms in eyes. It seemed ….. unreal till I observed the white cotton like fluff on my eyelashes. I also had fluffy patches under my nose at night… and they were moving.
I started putting vick rub inside my nose and cotton wool in my ears. I have shooting pains all over my body, including eyes. I suffer from insomnia and have persistent skin problems. I also have noticed that after shooting pains my eyes are red and sore. Also following shooting pains I have pouches under my skin which are very painful. They usually disappear after 3-4 days and here we go again, the circle repeats itself.
Doctors think I am crazy… and I suppose in a way it’s true because I have developed obsessive compulsive behaviour because of all this. I cannot control washing my hands. I wash them every few minutes.
I have tried to follow Dr. Houlda Clark’s protocol ALONG with taking Ovex every three days for 5 months. Without any effect. I also tried carrot juice, pumpkin seeds, pineapple and pawpaw for prolonged periods of time without success. My life is ruled by strict cleaning routine and recent blood tests revealed I have severe iron deficiency. I have been taking diatomaceous earth for 2 months. Symptoms are not severe as they used to be but they are still there. I started having massive headaches (during the shooting pain part of the circle). Doctors proved to be very unhelpful and unwilling to listen to what I say. I am absolutely shattered and I am out of ideas what to do next…..
I would be grateful for any advice leading to lessen my suffering.

I am clear, and have been for months. Pripsen is no longer available in UK. I took a double dose of Ovex every ten days for several weeks. (Hospitals sometimes prescribe triple doses, daily, so I didn't feel unsafe doing this.) I gave the same to my loved ones. Keep your hands washed, don't scratch, if you have to examine yourself and the kids, be careful. Don't contaminate your hands, bedding, bathroom taps, etc. Perhaps use pack of disposable gloves from pound shop. Be careful what you touch, and keep pump action soap by the sink and by the toilet. Use your elbow. Wash thoroughly. Wash your bottom with jug of warm water over loo morning, night and after you go to the toilet. Be careful with towels. Keep a stack of flannels in bathroom to dry bottom on. Don't re-use, put them in a bag to launder together on HOT. You don't have to go crazy over the top with hygiene in the home. Some people make themselves ill with all the preparation.
A bit of vaseline on the bottom apparently works to stop the worms from coming out to lay their eggs. I didn't need to do this, but it might help to keep the children comfortable enough not to scratch until the medicine works.
These measures worked for me.
If you get rid of them, be mindful that they might return. Keep a dose of Ovex ready for the whole family. At first itch, be calm and start with the routine again.
Best wishes to you.

I am in St. Louis, MO. I started taking an herbal medication about a week ago and now the buggers are fleeing my body. I was so afraid I might be contagious I went to the ER (we were supposed to spend time with my Brother's new baby today). They were so mean. The doctor didn't even look at my face (where there are "track marks" from the worms) and spent about 5 minutes with me. Then the nurse told me not to come back to the ER unless I had a serious emergency. I was so embarrassed.
But I am worried about infecting the baby. Does anyone know how infectious these worms are?

You say you're from St Louis. That's a very hot, humid part of the States, and there are still outbreaks of hookworm and other parasites down there. I would say that the possibility can't be eliminated until you get seen by a serious doctor, who is prepared to investigate.
Good luck. Let us know how you get on.
