An Experiment with Borax

So, I've been in Vietnam now for just over a month. Haven't had any itching, but the white plaque has expanded and looked like a bit more fusing had occured. Panic set in and of course I was trying not to. However, now that we're here, my husband has been able to start doing more research to help me. And he came across some stuff about borax. So we started an experiment 6 days ago. Not using any steroids, but instead each morning and night he's applying to one side a saturated borax solution and the other side a saturated baking soda solution (as we'd read that some people found baking soda helpful). We've been taking photos in order to compare as we progress. As mentioned, we are on day 6 and there is honestly some change! My clitoris which was quite white has returned to pink. And while the whole area still has some white, the pink is really starting to move in more. The biggest changes are on the side with the borax, with some change on the side with the baking soda (but since some of the borax can get rubbed off on that baking soda side we can't say for certain that the baking soda is having a major effect). We are feeling optimistic about this and I will keep everyone posted. During the day I do continue to add vitamin E oil to keep moisturized.

Well, so this seems to be obvious results for many. I apply it on the morning and evening. About 20 min after I apply olive oil mixed with tea tree oil. I have made a mix of 50 drops of olive oil with 1 to 3 drops of tea tree oil.
I have a question on the diet though. I read Anna above saying that dairy and wine is no good. I use a lot of yogurt cheese and wine. I can’t do without them. So is this the case for most women? Or depends on the person?
Thank you and wish you all well !

Hi Era!
So glad that the treatment is working for you. That's awesome news. News like that never gets old.
As for the diet thing, the triggers for LS vary. I'm with you, I drink wine, eat lots of cheese and love yogurt too. So far, my main trigger has been stress and enjoying the above mentioned treats doesn't seem to affect me. Maybe just keep an eye on things. I did find when I went through a random spell of craving sweets (cakes, chocolates, etc) I felt a twinge below. I pulled back, took a break from the treats (I was really going at them too, which was kinda strange as I don't usually crave them with such voracity!), treated with borax and all was well once again.
Thanks for sharing your results!

Alistar, yes !!! The sugar is a strong trigger for me too. I indulged yesterday 😞 and today i feel my LS a bit active, very little itchiness. For the stress, I haven’t noticed it yet. I will keep an eye on it.
I am happy to hear that you too consume wine and cheese cause boy I can’t do without those😀

I'm so glad i found this thread. I've tried to make the Borax work for me in the past but seem to get easily irritated, may be because my skin already feels raw and sensitive - any recommendations on how to use Borax in a solution that may be less irritating? I think I tried a teaspoon in a sitz bath an even that irritated me. Is the irritation something that just happens at first and goes away?

Hi Alistair, that's too awesome and reassuring to hear your cure..im suffering very badly with fused labia minora since 4 years. Initially I did not know I have this issue. Due to severe itching etc I went for a check up and my gynac said the labia minora is fully fused due to repeated infection or scratching.. or really how this happened we don't know. She finally did a surgery and opened it. .. this was may 2014...I thought all is okay as I did not know i will face issues on this again..
This year may 2017, I went for a master health check. Again i did not suspect any issue. But the gynac there said it's again fused. I was so low with this as never imagined this would again happen.
So I kept visiting gynacs and was put on dilators, premarin estrogen cream etc. Nothing helped. It's fused from the urethrea to the top completely. No clitoris is visible at all.
I finally had to undergo the same procedure as in 2014 again to open the fusion surgically. I was devastated. After the surgery this june, again it has fused back.
I'm in severe depression due to this as one gynac asked me to meet a dermatologist who said it looks like very early LS. And would need a biopsy to confirm it.
But I have no mental strength now to undergo procedures. And only after the 3rd time it has fused, I started researching on this condition and sat in borax warm water tubs etc but no progress.
Till I saw your post . Which has come as a great glimmer of hope. Pls I'm pleading you, if you could be kind enough to share your mail id, and number, I want to talk to you just once so I can get the confidence.
If my case is indeed LS as doc said early start, will it lead to cancer . I'm really worried and low. Counting on your help pls. Will applying borax the way you did, will it completely open my labia?
Pls let me know how I can talk to you just once. Il be indebted. My mail id is:
I'm from India. 40 yrs.
Looking fwd with anticipation to your reply. God bless you.

Also, my parts really do seem to have disappeared. Is it possible that the clitoris has shrunk/ disappeared as opposed to fused? I looked at the area today and the vaginal canal is really small. The lips ahve disappeared as has half of the clitoris. Do you think borax would be of help with this? Was about to try and oestrogen cream? Appreciate any advice thanks

I am sorry for your situation. Lots of people had a remission, so I hope the same for you.
On the other hand, there is no one solution for all, but I have understood that borax have made a change for most. In your situation, I would start an intensive care. I would bath every day on water with baking soda for 20 min. Poor 1/3 of a cup backing soda in you bathtub, which covers your mid waist. after this I would apply concentrated borax solution twice a day. 20 minutes after borax, apply some kind of oil that feels good for you. Lots of people like coconut oil. I like olive oil. I make a combo of 20 drops of olive oil to 3 drops of tea tree oil and use it.
I think you need to see a doctor, for more recommendations.
I wonder, in what time period you noticed this big change ?
Good luck to you !

Hi Andi,
I am not from the UK but there are several contributors here that are, and I do know it has been documented somewhere in this lengthy thread where/how to get borax in the UK. Unless someone is able to answer you shortly, I'd see if there's a search function that will allow you to quickly get your answer from here - and if there is no search function, that might be a good thing for the site to add!
While I am no doctor, I suspect you have fusing. Again somewhere in this lengthy thread, the moderator allowed me to include a link to an amazing article about fusing. Reading it really left me optimistic in the sense that while the skin has basically stuck together, that's just it, it's stuck together, it hasn't disappeared (which is what many doctors seem to think happens). Anyway, many women, including myself, have successfully unfused with the use of borax. With regards to the time it takes, every case is different. I definitely cannot say everyone has unfused, but who's to say it can't happen with continued use. For some it has taken many many months, for me (my fusing was minimal) it started happening a short while in, like maybe 2 months. Just be consistent and persistent, don't give up! With regards to the oestrogen cream, from my experience that helps keep LS at bay, but it does nothing to reverse the effects.
Any more questions don't hesitate to ask. We're all in this together!

I tried soaking in baking soda but seemed to get irritation and a couple of what looks like large painful pimples in the groin area. Anyone else experience that while using baking soda? I've not tried the borox yet. But want too. Taking baby steps.

Just a thought - baking soda changes pH level in the area. I used to measure that with test strips. It could be that you need the opposite and will be better helped with apple cider vinegar. I do not know about pimples.
?Borax works at all times, but I have to be careful not to use too much. A matter of trial and perhaps some error? We're all slightly different.

Hi Robin,
Sorry for the delay. So many distractions this past while.
Yes I am still using borax (not botox
. I use it whenever I have a flare-up or whenever I see any white plaque - I haven't gotten the dreaded itch in a long time, so sometimes I feel like I'm lulled into a false sense of security. But those dang white plaques sneak back when I let my guard down. So I retreat. I'm almost done breastfeeding, at which point I might start ingesting a small amount to see how that works. But I'm chugging along, borax is still effective for me.
I am elated however to continually see more additions to this thread, more successes with this treatment. Albeit saddened as well to read about all those that suffer with this dang disease.
