Hi all am scared to death am 4 years postmenopausal and on sunday i went to the loo and wiped myself and saw some blood on the tissue it has only happened once also i feel like i am having a period like the back ache .. been t o doctors and she is sending me for a scan am so frightened anyone have this worried sick ?

    I'm kinda going through the same thing right now myself. I've been bleeding every two weeks for the past four months so I went to see the doctor and they sent me to have a transvaginal ultrasound done and it showed that the lining in my uterus is too thick so now I have to go back in and have of biopsy done. I've been on HRT for a while now and I am very concerned about what is going on with my body. It's definitely scary.

      Tammy are you menopausal?  If you don't mind if I ask what form and dosage of HRT are you on?  And how long have you been on it?

      I was on the 1 mg estrogen patch for the longest then because of my insurance I recently was switched to the 1 my pill. I also take 100 my of progestrone. I've been on HRT I guess three years.

      Ahhhh, it appears that the switch from a patch to the pill may have something to do with your recent development.  That's obviously a guess, but if you had done well with the patch for several years and this is the only thing that's changed, that's where I'd start.

      I dont no and thats what scares me when i doctor told me she is sending me for a scan .. then i got a txt from the hospital confirming my appointment so i dont no ...

      Do you know if the scan your having is a transvaginal ultrasound? I had one of those.
