Blotchy red rash/irritated skin on penile head (lasted for over 3 moths now)?

Part of the skin on the head of my penis has become slightly red and is causing some pain/irritation.

It first appeared the day after I used a condom so I think I must have had a reaction to the latex or some other substance in the condom.

The tip of the penis became super sensitive and noticeably hurt whenever it touched my underwear.

The skin was and still is noticeably red close to and directly around the meatus. This redness gets worse and bigger after I've come out the shower or masturbated.

An hour or so after ejaculation, I get a slight burn/irritation at the very end of the urethra when I urinate and this can last for a few days before subsiding. This has put me off from masturbating as much now.

This has lasted for about 3 months now with no signs of improvement.

I saw a doctor and was prescribed timodine/hydrocortisone cream and this didn't have much effect and am slightly worried it may just make things worse so have stopped using it for now.

It almost seems as if the redness comes from within the skin rather than on the surface.

I don't think its balanitis as I haven't had that for over 12 years when I was a kid and that was with the usual smegma discharge etc, whereas this is just redness. 

I've attached images to show how it looks straight after showering, which is when the redness is at its worst and the contrast between the normal skin colour and the redness can be clearly seen.

    Ok so it’s been almost 4 weeks since I’ve chimed in and have been using the Somxl with the accelerator twice a day for this whole time and all traces of the rash are now gone and my case was no difrent than many of yours... just thought I’d pass it on because it was listening to many of you that helped me decide on this approach... thanks

      How long is the treatment going to be for? I have heard of symptoms subsiding during the treatment but returning soon after. 

      Hopefully that’s not the case here but would be good to know!

    I just made an account cause I have this a similar problem doesn’t exactly look the same though there’s redness and slight irritation no pain or burning it’s not on the tip but just under it on the foreskin and the bottom of the tip like the curve there’s so many things going through my head  I had a discharge I noticed when I woke up thought it was a std this girl was just dry humping me with her panties on Idk if her pussy juices went through and got on me idk but then I concluded it couldn’t be that because she has a bf now and seems perfectly fine and this was in the course of just a month after or so and if it was something that could never be cured it leave she would of passed whatever it is on so I don’t think that’s it second it might be a drug allergy or overactive  immune system  It started after l was taking these multivitamins that boost immune systems but also last month I had a uti and this came around that same time found out it was a uti cause I did a pee test for that and  other stds (which came negative) the uti is gone but this stuff is still here it looks different a little from the pictures you guys are posting it’s just red all around my foreskin again  I have no bumps no pain or burning just irritation like somethings there but last thing I wanna ask is I see a lot of people still having sex after you guys notice what happen you guys haven’t spread anything to your partners? Or do you always use condoms now please someone get back to me soon thanks I’m praying for everyone reading this and everyone who is suffering from what’s going on with all of us and had anyone found out anything else??

    Hi Guys , I am glad I found this thread. I have the exact same symptoms. Urlogist and my house is cluless. STD checks are normal. My penis tip is red and gets easily irritated. Also o have a abdominal pain and my bowel movement has changed as to slightly burning and developed sensitivity to lactose I never had this before. Not sure this is related but when I pee I feel like it's a bit inflamed. Could be the redness on the tip is getting irritated via urine. I tested for yeast too nothing came back.

      Have you tried to see if you got a uti cause mine started aroundbthe time I got a uti 3 months ago

      Hi Mayhem , yes i got it after UTI, like most of us in this thread I was on doxy,Cipro and clindmaicin as they found a serious infection in urine . The redness changes all day and my bowel movement have been changed so much as to I feel like loosing weight. GP cannot work out of the stool sample due to it's not been indicative of diaria. Also im as told the bowel changes can be related to my good bacteria been killed by the antibiotics. So I started taking probiotics now. I am uncircumcised and also didn't test for herphes since I don't have any leisons.

      I think I got this after getting a harsh handjob which caused pain from next day . I thought it's just friction and the whole thing started. I have used are daktacort, and all sorts of steriod and non steriod creams including coconut oil. Which seems to help but the irritation comes and goes. One of the urologist recommend circumcision. I don't want to go in that route yet.

      It happened to me after recieving oral,someone who has hsv 1, i had uti.My doctor said its not herpes im using fungal creams now.Its been 1 month.Redness sometimees fades away but come back easily.And on top theres a red area which never turns back normal.Let me know if you got any improvement.By the way at the same night i used a lot of lubricant and hard handjob as C56026.I am really confused about what i have..And exhausted.

      And i am circumcised.So im not sure if its gonna help.Moreover i have used acyclovir because doubt of herpes for 1 week when it happened.Redness started at those times

      I thought it was masterbation too but now I think this is an internal thing more than external cause the inflammation changes and goes up and down but are you experiencing pain Because Im not having pain per day but constant irritation and have you had unprotected sex afterwards at all do you think this is a std or what?
