Hi one and all just to let you all knowy Botox injection outcome.
I had this injection on the 6th December 2007, I was only in for the day, I feel so much better, no more having a bath at 2 and 3 in the morning.
The muscle spasms have gone, if anyone of you have read about me on this forum I was in a bad way, in pain every day, not good for anyone.
I feel so much better, I get a small abount of pain sometimes after going to the toilet, but all in all my bottom feels much better, I may have to go in for a second injection, I see my Surgon in FEB. I will keep you all informed, if you have any questions send me an e-mail, or post your questions on this forum.
Happy bottom pain free new year.

Oh really. You poor thing. I'm on waiting list to have this done. Hemorroid surgery 9 weeks ago and still in excruciating pain all the time. Worse with BM. Was there pain the day after Botox surgery. Thanks Debbie

So to reionforce others advice - drink lots fluids and take stool softeners or laxido which draws water into the gut and makes motions softer.
Also, beware of certain meds that bung you up - like Amitriptyline or codeine (which is derived from morphine) and of course morphine is the devil for anyone with fissures - stay well clear of it!
Good luck and stay strong ;-)

Are the Botox injections toxic to the body? Did you get sick at all after the injections?
How are you doing now? Are you still bothered by anal fissures? Thank you.

Hi. My rectal problems were caused by radiation treatment for prostate cancer.
I would be interested to know if you or anyone else on this site had the same problem & how they delt with it. I have just had a second Botox sesion of 3 injections & await improvements

Hi I have had the Botox injections 3 times in 9 years and find the first 2 times I had relief and pain free for about 2 years then it would return. The last time I had it done was 2 years and I've had pain since and starting to have bladder problems, I wee myself regularly. I spoke to my dr about this and she seemed to think I just need pelvic floor exercises I have since been doing them now I think I have a prolapse I'm so embarrassed about all of this and convinced it's to do with the Botox injection but I don't know if this has happened to anyone else. Hope it works out much better for everyone else here ????
