Brain fog, dizziness, vision problems, head pressure, headache PLEASE HELP

Hi everyone!
I don't know where else to go, and was hoping someone could please help me. I'll start off by saying I'm a 23 year old Caucasian female. Going on 5 months now, I have had absolutely debilitating symptoms which have hindered my daily life. I feel these symptoms every moment of every day.
It started with dizziness and a persistent brain fog. I just thought I had a bug, and tried to go on about my life. However, my symptoms have never gone away. This "brain fog" I am talking about is a feeling of complete mental confusion, I have no memory, I cannot concentrate on anything, it feels like there's a dark blanket on my brain clouding all my thoughts. I have extreme disorientation and haziness. I feel like I'm always in a dream like state.
I am constantly dizzy and feel a pulling sensation, as if I'm ready to fall over at any moment. It feels like there's air inside my head, and I'm always very lightheaded. Whenever I try to drive I feel this pulling sensation pulling me down.
Another problem I have is with my vision. I am having very blurred vision and have double vision. Everytime I look at something up close it is extremely blurry and I cannot see at all. My perception on things has completely changed. I feel like everything looks very odd and strange and I don't have the right depth perception. It's like I'm in a horrible dream like state all the time.
I have been having headaches and head pressure as well, and having horrible pains behind my eyes. The pin starts from the back of my head close to my neck and continues up my head and the sides of my temples. My eyes hurt so bad, and it feels like knives are jabbing my eyes. My head also feels extremely heavy all the time.
All these symptoms have been causing me severe anxiety, and I have been having panic attacks from them and feel like I'm dying. It is causing a strange disrespity sensation, where I feel like I'm not even here anymore and there's a detachment from myself and my body. I have had to drop all my classes at college and quit my job because these symptoms make me lay in bed all day long. I have been unable to drive for months and can barely get up to walk around. If anyone could please help me or know anything as a suggestion to try.
I have been to my general doctor, 2 ENTs, 1 neurologist, have had 2 MRIs, a hearing test, VNG, multiple blood tests, and no one knows what is wrong. I can't live like this anymore. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm having all of these symptoms as well and I'm a Hispanic 28 year old new mom. I started going through this 2 years ago and doctors can't seem to figure out what's wrong with me. I can't seem to focus or concentrate, feel dizziness from the back of my head, heaviness, back of head and temples hurt, pressure behind eyes, sinuses are inflamed and I have ear and throat irritation. I constantly feel ringing in my ears, I feel like I drunk or something all of the time. I woke up one day and couldn't recognize what was in front of me anymore like my vision wasn't focusing. I get sleepy very easily, I was having bad acid reflux at first also. I gave birth December 21st last year and through my whole pregnancy I didn't do anything about my symptoms and thought I would get them taken care of after having my baby but still nothing. Doctor prescribed pills for acid reflux and a sinus rinse but I don't think it's getting better. I'm thinking my symptoms might be gut related. I'm hoping to find answers soon. I was once a happy carefree person and now I'm a sad person that drags herself around that can't do much.

Hi Christine,
I have exactly the same symptoms as you I have been suffering with it since June 2017.
My GP too couldn't know the cause of it, I have seen ENT and they found which I have sinusitis and he give me spray Avamys to use for a long time and he discharged me.
I didn't like it when he discharged me as i am still bothered with all others symptoms, ringing in my ears, and I cannot pop the right ear, pressures in my head back of my neck, templ and eyes.
GP refdeeed me to a different hospital to ENT for second opinion.
Waiting for cardiologist, and ophthalmologist as my vision so blurry now and is like sometimes, I am losing my sight.
I have Neck and back degeneration desease which just had MRI result yesterday so am thinking may be is coming from my Neck?
I have been referred to orthopaedic specialist for that next month.
I hope we will get an answer to our misery soon.
Please let me know how your symptoms goes.
Good luck
Sab

I have very similar and for me its vestibular migraine. On facebook the group 'vestibular migraine professional' is very helpful. Its hard to get a diagnosis and most neurologists don't know what to look for. Good luck

I have been diagnosed with a mild overconvergence of my eyes (strabismus) which was noticeable to me or anyone and didn’t get recognized until I started going to many eye doctors. The theory here is that since I am constantly correcting for this convergence (automatically, this is not something I am conscious of) that it fatigues my brain while causing eye strain and the eyes are so connected to vestibular inputs that it could contribute to a mild dizzy feeling. Stress and fatigue make me way worse so perhaps also the eye muscles have to work even harder during these stressful times. I do take antidepressants now as a result of how I feel (like many I wasn’t quite this anxious before my symptoms) and am fully aware of the heavy role that anxiety plays but still believe there might be more at play.
I also wonder as I’ve seen it before on some of these sites if anyone had these symptoms start after taking Accutane for acne for a bit. This medication is very potent and beyond affecting the liver dries out everything which cannot be good for ear canals.
I’m on a bunch of supplements and have tried different regimens and wish I had something to recommend at the moment outside of radical acceptance which is probably a good start. I’ve had a very successful career and traveled the world and most people don’t realize that I’m a wreck during these times so I guess we push on. To provide some relief I’m now 42 and nothing serious has ever befallen my health which after 20 years typically means it’s not anymore fatal than life itself.
Best to all dealing with this.

Hi Elise.
I think what you're experiencing is Depersonalisation/ Derealisation disorder. It is a branch of anxiety, and its kind of a safety mechanism for your body, it's like an extreme version of fight flight and feeze. Neaely everyone has experienced dp/dr in their lifetimes, but some people it can last days or weeks or years. But you can overcome it, there are ways. There are certain techniques you can use, and people you can see.

I Have been struggling with it for a couple of years now and have been very up and down. But there are certain methods that do really help. Like little simple things that you wouldn't think would contribute, such as eating enough food and getting enough sleep.

There are also people you can see who really know these 'sensations' really well and know how to counteract them. If you are over 18 you can speak to DAS, depression and anxiety service. There may be a waiting list of a few months or weeks, but it will really help, and it will show you that you are not alone.
