Britta. I lift mine by holding onto the cast at my knee. Put thumb down front and lift. I gave to do this because as soon as I move it I can feel the plates n screws and its turning my stomach. If your just moving n lifting the leg we are using the muscles. Could do it that way all through but now feel plates n screws every minute of the day now and hate it. Plus star's are really sore now.

Britta. Something I did while in hospital was to put a sheet under my leg and lift the sheet, . Or left my leg by my trouser leg. seemed to help. When my back starts I use my tenn's machine for a while. Or a warm hot water boo sx

Only wearing shorts at the moment as it's the easiest and most computable.

But have been hauling my leg around in one lift up and down of the bed or sofa.

So much pain today and tonight is even worse?? Think it's because I've been trying to leave off the codeine and just taking paracetamol. But obviously not touched pain. Catch 22 hear pain BAD. But then so is constipation from taking codeine. I've just about reached the end of my tether now.

I'm sorry your in pain. And it's a real delemia as to which pane to have. Can you get a microwave oven put in your area. Warm pear juice for constipation. Would give you coffe making facilities to. 

Mine has been really painful to, it has been so swollen as well which considering im in bed with it elevated seems odd, but im like you. Just on paracetomol, i had way to many side effects with all the other pills, as you say ..catch 22 ☹️ X

Morning. Jenni. I've literally had 3hrs sleep. For some reason all I did yest and last night was pee.. Never had it like thus before. Topical when you don't want to gave to get up because of pain, I never have to get up during the night to go. But God I went every hr and sometimes only spoonful passed!! Hope I haven't got infection there now! The thought of warm pear juice, Yuk but will try anything not to get constipated!! Microwave wouldn't work up with me as they use it a fair bit and would be another thing for me to moan about if it wasn't cleaned every time!!! Wish the little things could be let go, may be I wouldn't be so stressed our!! 😢 😢 😢. Sx

Morning liz. Same here with the swelling. Feels so uncomfortable. I have been taking the codeine since they gave it to me while in hospital, so 7 weeks now. But cut them out straight away after reading that it's most likely them to be causing the constipation. Haven't felt right for 2days now with dull headache and just unwell. Ain't has increased a lot just on paracetamol and I mean a lot. Gave in at 3 this morning and took codeine tab. But then had odd feelings of not wanting to fall asleep, almost frightened? But did drop off till 5.30. Just don't know what to do any more... Really down

😔. My daughter is coming for hr or so later so that will cheer me a bit but won't see much of her ad she will be spritzing the house!! Then home by 3. They are all of to Turkey Fri. My 2daughters son in laws and my 5 younger grandchildren the eldest one is 18 same age as my son we were expecting together!!! Lol well he's staying home and I was supposed to be making sure he stats on the straight n narrow for 2weee...which he will. We know. But now that's off the agenda. Real Downer lately. 😔. Sx

I'm so sorry your having a crappy time. And yes letting go of things not done my way was a biggy. Benches not wiped and dry. Sink not buffed Shower not dry after use. Stove not immediately Cup handles facing the wrong way. OCD. Is my middle name. I've blocked it out. Had to hubby has always been a scruffy bugger but I know he's doing an awesome job. He's trying so hard. He's picked up all shopping cooking cleaning getting daughter to appointments and me. And all my initial care requirements. So I couldn't say anything. 

Since stopping the codeine i have been regular as clockwork lol, i would rather have some pain than more pain being constipated! Ive had lots of visitors today which is lovely but boy does it tire you out!!! I love Turkey just gutted i missed my holiday there last week im so glad i found this page and have all you lovely ladies to chat with x

What are we like.. Lol. My daughter here at the Mo before going away on Friday. She has just done my toe nails as I do like them looking nice and she always does a fab job. But she laughed when we realised you can't see them nice anyway coz of cast and full shoe on good foot. Plus not going anywhere. Only hospital visits. But they look better for me anyway. 😁. Sx

Yes i broke on the 19th (hubbys birthday!) operated on the Saturday, then put in half slab then Tuesday had pink cast on, staples come out next tuesday then new cast on xx

My first one was pink this one is blue my granddaughter chose it sx

I had my open one after surgery for 9days. Then into a pink one for 2weeks I think now blue one has been on for 4 weeks!! OMG it's been a lifetime... 😔. Sx

Each hospital seems to do this this so differently! Im on day 11 since op and tuesday is the dreaded day".....staples removed 😩😩😩 and new cast x

Isn't it awful that we are counting the days.... But we are all so wanting all this to be over... Fingers Xsd it goes well for you. Then new cast and ready for nxt step. Sx

Hi britta my injury was 24 march surgery a week after. You've just done yours. I'm bearing weight now. Have walked a few steps more each day. Overdid it yesterday paying for it today.
