BV CURED!

I was pretty excited to come on this site to share what has cured me because i know how frustrating bv is and i am sure some of you have tried many things.
I had bv for 3 months. I am just now getting over it. I had gone to the doctors twice and have taken metronidazole and clindamycin. both intravaginal gels. Both gave me unwanted side effects and my symptoms came back after a week with both. I have also tried douching with h202 and vinegar for 5 days but it did not cure me while taking acidiphilus tablets and inserting two vaginally. It did not cure me. Little by little the itch would come back.
After a lot of research i was determined to fight this as I have seen many women have it for years and not have any solutions. Here are my findings and I am proud to say I am bv free! I take a vitamin b complex with folic acid 800, vitamin d3 5000iu and acidiphilus daily. do some research on it and test it out, i promise you wont be disappointed!

Now I continue to orally take probitoc (Pearls 1 billion) every morning, and the same Vitamin C 1000 with rose hips orally during at night before going to sleep. No inserts currently. My Vagina is fresh and no smell at the moment. [smile]
But also I havent had sex after being cured yet. I am taking a break from sex (both oral and vaginal for 3 months just bring back natural flora to my vagina) I have to see if it reoccurs after oral sex again now.... Hope this helps ...

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the advice on finally getting rid of BV!!! I couldn't be so much more happier I feel like I can be normal again with my partner, and that's all I wanted lately. I have had BV for about 3 months, I went to the doctor as soon I as it started got prescribe a few different medicines to help it clear up but a week or so after it came right back. I felt so embarrassed because I felt like it was something more since even the doctors prescription didn't work... I just started googling all different home remedies, like soaking a tampon in hydrogen peroxide or yogurt ( the hydrogen made it more irritating for me so I had to take it out less than five minutes), soaking in a warm bath with apple cider vinegar, I did this for about another month or so it made the smell less noticeable but I noticed it, and it just ruins my whole mood. But then this amazing post changed my life! I Just followed the steps and I took vitamin b complex with folic acid 800, vitamin d3 5000iu and acidiphilus, also I was reading farther down the comments and a lot of great feedback on vitamin C with rose hips so I decided to take it orally as well, 2 days later I am BV free!!
Im just so thrilled with my results I had to share the good news and hopefully help a lot of woman with it!!

Hello! I realize I'm pretty late to this discussion but I wanted to thanks all of you that have posted here. I am 23, I'd never had BV until a few months ago. I've had the ocassioanl yeast infection, always brought on by antibiotics, and other than normal monthly cycle annoyances I've never been self concious about my vagina. So a couple of months ago, immediately after my period ended I was intimate with my husband a couple of times in one evening, and so I felt like I could really use a good cleansing, I douched (which I have done once a month after my period ends for several years). Imeadiately after I got out of the shower I felt immense irritation in my entire genital area. My first thought was that the I'd douched too soon after intercourse and that perhaps I had a scrape internally that was now irritated. It was so itchy and painful that I didn't sleep at all that night, and the next day my mind was going crazy over what was wrong with my vagina (of course I'm running on zero sleep) so I'm thinking, did my husband cheat on me and now he's given me an std? Am i seriously ill with something? So I made an appointment with my obgyn, who my mother and I both see, she's the only obgyn I've ever had. By the next day, when my appointment time came I noticed an AWFUL odor when I took my panties off to take a shower. I was horrified, obviously, at my doctors office I was so embarassed that she would notice the smell that I was almost in tears when she said they do something called A WHIFF TEST. She said it was BV, they took swabs to confirm and prescrbied me an antibiotic. A couple of things about me, I have had upper GI problems my whole life, my stomach over produces acid so I am very prone to nausea, because of this I'm really careful about what I eat and drink and I take very good care of myself, also I avoid antibiotics because they really cause severe nausea, and yeast infections as I mentioned earlier. So I filled $100 prescitpion for the antibiotics and started taking them, it got slightly better a few days later, I was horribly nauseous the entire time. I took the whole prescription, as directed. I was not back to normal but figured it was a bit better, not a week later the BV was back ,full force. So I called the doctor, they called in another oral antibiotic, and a cream antibiotic. I used them, same story, nausea, mild improvement, followed by total relapse. I want to add that my gyno, who I've always really liked, was pretty nonchalant about the whole thing, she told me how common it is and that yes, bv reccuring is very normal, it's very annoying, blah blah blah. I was very upset and did not feeel like she was really taking me seriously.
I'd begun to feel so insecure about the smell and the weird thin, watery, grey, discharge that I had completely stopped being intimate with my husband which I really started to worry about because our one year wedding aniversary would be July 10th (that was yesterday, as I'm writing this). I was also experiencing a lot of nausea, which is a symptom of bv, also a pretty normal state for me, add antibiotics and I was struggling to do much of anything. I was so concerned that other people could smell the fishy odor and I was changing my panties at least 3 times a day. I told my husband I was having issues with that area, I avoided it as long as possible but eventually I knew he'd take it personally, but didn't tell him about the smell.
i'm a firm believer in apple cider vinegar, so one afternoon I took a bath with only a low level of water and about a cup of ACV. The smell was much better after soaking in that mix for about an hour and so when my husband got home, we were intimate. And in marches the smell of a dead fish. I was horrified, in tears, and my husband was very kind and loving (of course) I realized to me it was probably worse than he thought it was but he did admit that he could smell it and he did understand why it would be making my feel self concious. I was so depressed (and yes, I do mean literally depressed) about this. I have never experienced insecurity about my vagina or its smells. My mother told me she started getting it around my age, and that it really only crops up occasionally, mostly if she's stressed, or if she's douched and one time she was allergic to a boyfriends' semen. She always used antibiotics that would clear it up until the next time. I was too embarassed to talk to anyone else about it.
A week ago I decided I'd look up BV and if there were any alternative solutions and found this discussion. I immeadiately went out and bought vitamin c, 500 mg and when I came home (totally didn't care that it was noon) inserted a tablet, put some tissues in my panties because I was out of panty liners (I'd used them all because of the lovely discharge I'd been having) and laid in bed to watch reruns of the real housewives and pray it worked. So around 6 I took a shower and the smell was completely gone, several hours later, still gone. When I woke up the next morning no odor, no weird discharge. I inserted another tablet overnight the next night and it improved even more. So yesterday was my one year anniversary and my husband and I were able to have lovely, non smelly sex.
SO, all that to say, thank you thank you thank you, ladies.

So very glad for you, it cleared up right in time for your anniversary. I can understand how you withdraw from being intimate and being self conscious aboyt the weird smell. I cnat thank enough this forum too - for the vit C insert idea. I has saved me too. I still take one Pearls probiotic tablet every morning and orally take Vit C at night before sleep. Alls well so far down there.

Hi Lashanda, I used the plastic suppository that u usually fill the metrodinolzone gel with and I chopped the Vit C w rose hips in half so it fit and inserted at bedtime. Day 2 1/2 and no smell, still need a panty liner as its a lil wet down there
but I'm super happy!! It's important to take the other vitamins I listed. Maybe because I was on them for 2 mos it made it easier to heal! Folic acid is a must, Vit D for me since I have iud- I found that iron supplements counter Vit D so don't take together if I need calcium.

Yeah, I've purchased boric acid and never had the nerve to use it internally as I've used it in an outdoor storage for rats 😩 . I had all BV symptoms of discharge, smells & pinkish discharge at its worst. This remedy for me was the best ever. Good luck!! I know you want to scream!!
