Yes you can take it, and you will get better.  And you will be happier.  The hospital want to discuss results from your heart monitor.  That's good -they are looking after you.  If there's something wrong, you will get help.  My mum had all those tests, she had a heart condition, got medication and lived to be 80 plus, which is not bad at all.  And she enjoyed her later years and was active. As another person said palpitations can just go.  Mine did (touch wood lol).  Gastritis is very treatable too. I have it, and I know lots of folk on pills for it.  incidentally if I eat something that doesnt agree with my stomach i can get palpitations. The body plays up , very badly for some folk, but there is still fun to be had, if you learn to live with and cope with problems.  Its depressing I know, and sometimes you think, I am soo unlucky, I really dont want to live with all this pain, but the truth is the human being has a great capacity for getting through.  please, it won't be for ever. Dont give up. sending you loving wishes. Anne

Do not be sorry. Venting always helps me. I'm in a bad way so I don't know if my comments will be helpful... Gastritis has been a real problem for me in the past. Whenever I feel it coming on I start to take my Nexium. 20mg. There's no real side effects the only thing is I would forget take it. Maybe u could give it a try : ,)

do you experience gastritis attacks? It was horrible for me so I hope it gets better for you. It did for me. Don't give up

The attacks are one of the worst things I've experienced. The only thing that cured it for me was buscopan and Morph. I still don't know why they occurred. But I was extremely stressed at the time, all the best

      Good morning,

Sorry to hear you had a bad night.  It really doesn't help when you don't get a proper nights sleep.

I have been the same in the past.  Try having a relaxing day today, maybe you can watch some nice films. That's what I do sometimes, just have a duvet day on the sofa watch lots of films.  Or go for a nice slow walk and breathe lots of fresh air in to your lungs.

You will be ok, it's just so hard when you are going through this.  There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Smile it really does make a difference ...

      God bless you x

I do that when I am feeling panic, I can't keep still, I just want to keep moving but I end up tiring myself out.

Have you told your Dr ?  If not you need to. Alot of people do get this and you will get better.

The Dr may put you on medication or if you are already on some it might not be right for you and your Dr could try you with something else.  Also counselling would be good for you.

I hope you feel better soon Hun, do you have fily and friends around to talk to ? X

Hiya, im sick of telling the docs they just dont seem to take on board what im saying, im on propranolol for the palpitations but at the moment dont think they're doing much good, have family and friends but they just dont understand x

Sorry to hear that, it is hard for others to understand when they haven't experienced it themselves.

I don't think the Dr you have seen seems very good, maybe you could try to see a different one ?

      😔

      Awwww that's not good !

Have you been for counselling ?

This is what I keep getting told to get counselling, but I still haven't done it yet.

I did go for counselling years ago, not sure if it helped or not but I might give it a go.

      X

I have dealt with this. It takes a really great doctor to really listen and really dedicate themselves to trying to help you. This is why I mentioned I feel anxiety is a controversial subject. But I am so happy that it seems to be recognized more. For the past two days I have been feeling the worst I have ever felt.

Confusion, dizziness sometimes I skip days. No appetite, insomnia and stress sweating. I was close to going to the ER when my girlfriend came past last night and gave me a 5mg diazepam. Within an hour I felt my muscles stop tensing. I gained a little of my appetite. I ate and was able to sleep at 4am which is late but better than 10am like previous nights.

Are you on any meds at all?

Sorry for the delayed reply I hope you're alright.

lol.  Sorry I just had to laugh at this.  Yes I sometimes feel the same way, in fact I often carry a good book or newspaper and sit it on the desk to prove I do have a brain, like"look what I read, I'm not a nutter" how weird is that.lol.  But it won't ever stop me going, I went once with a written list of different pains and apologised and the nice doctor actually went down the list and put my mind at rest.  Have you been back, did you get propanolol changed?
