CHAMPIX. 7 WEEKS ON AND ITS BECOME HELL.

Posted , 22 users are following.

Started on the champix 7 weeks ago and at first i was so happy with the tablet, it made giving up so easy for me, Yes i had you used a little will power at times and had a few days where it nagged me mad, i think that was about 3 weeks in. the last 4 weeks have been hell at night as i am having 3 perhaps 4 nightmares or bad dreams each night and the lack of getting a good nights rest  caught up on me but no way was i giving in to fags. My smoking adivser at the doctors is away at the mo and ive had bad thoughts during the day and feeling low. 3 days ago i decided i must stop taking the evening tablet and only take the morning one if i am at all going to improve my sleep and day time thoughts, Last night i was dream free thank good and my thoughts are back on track, so for now its one tablet a day for me and fight a little bit harder.

Hi Mark. I started to feel nauseous after about two weeks and had mild headaches. I cut the dose in half and that worked for me. Stopped over a year ago. Good luck!

Well with many many thanks to debbie 03785 and Graham 2434 i have almost completed my 11 month and looking forward to completing a year in january. quite a jurney during the first 2 months after smoking for around 40 years but now i am free. My lungs are shot because i left it to late but im still glad i stopped as it may help me have a little longer with the ones i love. So please please readers find every last bit of strenght inside your self during the times of weakness and you WILL WIN and you must tell your self that, remind your self you will soon be free . This year comming i am going to support my wife stopping as well, i listen to her cough and explain thats there is no such thing as a smokers cough its your lungs choking.

It was a pleasure to help you. Hoping you will join Graham and I with ongoing support on the forum. I feel for your wife, but if she can get Champix, why not tell her that she doesnt have to do anything except take the tablets, dont make her set a stop date so she doesnt panic, and with any luck Champix will do its magic and you can help her once she starts to lose interest in her fags. It might not seem so daunting to her then. I wish you both good luck and hope you have a great xmas. WELL DONE!!!
