Chest xray

I really cannot handle the anxiety anymore, I have even increased the anxiety meds since all this kicked off! My throat is scratchy making me cough its so f*&*ing annoying and makes my anxiety so bad! I need a ct scan I really do as convinced its a tumor in my lung somewhere!

What meds are you taking? I havnt been using mine. But im getting alot of angina chest pain and tightness in my left arm lately.. go back and request one and just say you need it for peace of mind so you can stop stressing.. im going to ask for another aswell

I am on lanzaprosole twice a day, I have my ventolin inhaler (which I have had to take two puffs this morning as my throat was feeling so tight it felt like I was not getting enough air), now pins and needles in my right hand lately also when I am using it....Really fed up.....I am asking for a ct scan when I see him next week, cant take this anymore! - what meds have you been given>?

Yeh definitely make sure you dont leave without that refferal for a ct scsn!!

I have nexium and a seritide inhaler and valium tablets..

And to make my matters worse i gotta get 2 wisdom teeth out tomorrow hahaha

Dont worry I have had my wisdom teeth out and its not that bad lol

Are you in the UK? if you are, were you referred for a ct scan?

Nah im in australia, i was only reffered because i was seeing a Haematologist and he ordered a ct scan to check lymph nodes so i pretty much had a full body scan

Sorry for the delay in responding was in A&E all of yesterday with another cropped up swelling in my leg! I suffer with DVT's and clots in my lungs and I am on life long blood thinners. They checked for clots and they did a full blood count which came back normal, they said I have water retention but need to see my GP if the swelling does not go down so thats another freaking me out situation.

So here is a scenario for you, I have noticed my white blood cell count is apidly rising, in Dec 2016 it was 7.1 (the range is normal when it falls between 4-10.5) - yesterday the result was 8.9! So that makes me think my body is making more white cells to fight something ie cancer now....this is never ending for me. Woke up coughing again last night....

Oh wow thats no good!! About the white blood cells it could definitely be infection or inflammatory related so the swelling in your legs could do that.. but id recommend asking for that ct scan! Also ask for some throat swabs cause you could have a mild infection there or inflammation

My throat is so scratchy today and during my sleep last night think I might be going mad! I am so incredibly worried now.....

Have you been given the go ahead for a ct yet? I just had a follow up ultrasound on some lymph nodes in my neck so hopefully i can get to the bottom of whats going on soon!

Went to the Dr AGAIN yesterday lol, she is sending me for a scan on my leg she thinks is a fluid build up from a knee problem I have been having for a while so will wait for that. I asked about my white bloods cell count and she said its normal, they fluctuate but if they increase and stay increased over the normal count ie over 11 count for a few times then they will worry and get some additional tests done. She said stress has a major impact on wbc counts and the ventolin inhaler and diazapam I used a day before the test could have impacted the count. She said I need to see my GP next week for the cough and he will most likely do another set of bloods

Well thats great to hear! I hope you get some answers soon. I went back to the dr yesterday aswell haha a lymph node in my neck has gotten a little bigger in the past 8 months but he said its nothing to worry about cause it isnt hard and the amount of growth over that time isnt worrying.. i have to see the cardiologist on tuesday and go from there. He said we would do another ct scan once those results are back jusg for peice of mind cause all the stress and anxiety isnt doing me any favours

Seriously had to use my inhaler again last night, just feel so restricted with breathing, is this in my mind? I really do not know which way to turn anymore, plus the breakdown of the bloods including Liver tests were returned yesterday to my Dr from emergency and I see my Liver functions tests were slightly off also......I GIVE UP!!!

I had a couple of odd blood results and live results awhile back to but eveeything is within the normal now.. do you take reflux medication or anything like that? Because my dr said thats why the tests were odd

Yes mine were all in the normal in March (Liver tests) now they are out but like .4% they marked it as satisfactory. My white blood cells is what is worrying me right now (still normal, for now) but in the higher normal....the readings should be between (4-11) mine was 7.2 in March and now in June 8.9 - so rising for some reason, its a real worry is it not? I am back at the Dr Wednesday so hopefully he can refer me to respiratory and sort this bloody issue out! Yes I take Lanzaprozole - high dose of 60mg a day

The lanzaprozole can effect liver enzymes and inhalers can effect white blood cells when tested.. maybe just ask the dr if that could be the case but definitely ask for that refferal!

Yeah I have stopped the lanzaprozole now and it clearly is not working and I have stopped my anxiety tablets as they are clearly not wokring either, seeing him tomorrow morning at 08.30am and will very kindly yet forcefully request a referral to respiratory services!

Oh okay let me know how that goes! I sseen the cardiologist yesterday and will be seeing my dr next week for results and if they dont show anything im literally at a loss to whats going on

Dr has given me a steroid inhaler to use for 6 weeks. I had to do a peak flow meter test and i scored 400ml its low so that he said is indicative of asthma. He said he wants to try this preventer inhaler first before he refers me, he said he will refer me if this inhaler doesnt work as he says he will be at a loss. As for the big C he is assured its highly unlikely in my case and if he thought it was or a suspect of it i would have been referred way before now. I asked him about the wbc and he said its normal to rise and rise and then drop. Its medication, hydration, food, slight infection. He even said exczema can cause a rise and i have that quite bad so can inhalers and anti anxiety plus reflux tablets , has he reassured me, not sure but i have to give this inhaler a go for the full 6 weeks. How are you feeling?

What inhaler is it? Well i hope it helps you! I have to go back and see dr next week about heart results hopefully nothing has come up..

I am really not confident at all I still feel they are missing something with me and a part of me is saying I need to say to them 'I am dying' it is really affecting me to the point where I cannot function anymore

Oh trust me i feel the exact same!! It does my head in! Im sick of feeling so s**t all the time aswell haha

I really do not know anymore, feels like I am breathing through a plastic bag most of the time and it never leaves me, even the inhalers are not doing anything for me.....petrified!

What inhaler are you using?

Its Ventolin (blue) & the brown preventer which I just started 2 days ago. This is really getting boring worrying like this all the time......fatigue is now becoming more frequent, another C symptom.....cant handle this anymore....its like a waiting game....

I have a seritide inhaler and a ventolin but they dont really help either..

the worry is painfuk in itself isnt it!

For the past couple of days i have had a bad pain in my upper abdomen under my sternum between the ribs and it worries me because of the pancreas.. family history of pancreatic issues..

Woke at 3am this morning with acid in my voicebox. I coughed the house down! So now im thinking is this actually reflux again! Stopped my tablets but coughed with them too but didnt feel the acid come up, this is mysterious! Im continuing with the brown inhaler for the duration and see what happens. All we can do its try the GP's suggestions. I have been gaining so much weight also its crazy! Have you mentioned the abdomen pain to the dr?

I get that alot but it doesnt wake me up.. yeh i have mentioned it before because it comes and goes but he just says its reflux.. have had a gastroscopy and colonoscopy which was all good so apparently nothing drastic going on down there apart from being borderline lactose intolerant

Throat is still the same, burning when I breathe in, coughing, wheezing, feeling I have to take deep breathes everytime just to feel satisfied, been on the preventer for 8 days and now improvement actually it feels worse! I am so fed up - back to the dr Tues! Not giving up!

Health is more important than work, yeh so am i!! Hopefully i can get another chest ct and a muscle biopsy as i want to check for glycogen storage disorders

Well you see ive already had one done and it was clear and i still have trouble breathing and what not so it didnt even get to the bottom of the problem

I really do not know, I was barking like a sea lion last night and really fed up with it all now!!!! At my wits end!

Go back to the dr and tell them how you feel, tell them you need the ct just for peace of mind

Going back next week Thursday not leaving there with another inhaler but will be leaving there with a respiratory referral!

Yes i am seeing a different dr this time actually a trainee doctor and they are more reluctant to refer as they do not know what the problem is themselves! 

Oh well i guess thats a good thing than! Hopefully you get that refferal

How did you go with the dr?

I have just gone back today, this morning actually - he advised to stop the preventer inhaler, given me a highish dose of antihistamines and referred me to the Respiratory clinic at our main hospital as he is baffled and cant do anymore, so wait and see.

I went last Thursday and they ran some more blood tests and had a look at recent xrays and they think i may have some sort of immune disorder like sjorgens or something similar
