i am so confused my doctors say they dont know what is wrong so now just say oh you have chronic pain we think. but i dont understand why when i had my MRI why they said they thought i should be having a brain scan can anybody help me with this or give me any advise? i am so stressed out with all this i know something is not right i know my know body but its as if know body wants to find out know that they have put down that it maybe chronic paini would be so greatful if someone could explain

Lauraspot I'm having the same problem and sometimes I feel like I don't want to live no more. I had xray MRI done and they don't know what is going on.

Hi all
I have the same issues (left-side injuries from head to toe), but I have an altogether different theory, and advice based thereon, so please apply an open mind, and maybe you can relate and AID YOURSELF as I have, because no-one else can take this problem away from you (and this is step 1 of rehab).
Theory: To be more efficient at war, armies would be armed favoring one side for shield (namely left side), the other for sword (namely right side). This way, side by side battle is uniform, as troops shield and attack uniformly, without cutting each others fingers off. You can imagine that this way your shield defends you from even your friend alongside you. Similarly for archery, not being in each others way-of-aiming when compressed in formation. Blacksmithing jigs didn't need to be reflected either (improving war efficiency). Overall, what this means is that the left side took a beating behind a shield (robustness), while the right side got skilled (dexterity). Nowadays you can relate the boxing stance (battle mode) to this theory. The left side blocker/damage-receiver, right side attacker.
Practice: Take my theory for what it is, but armies that fought this way won and are our ancestors, and the genetics has been passed. I know that I stress on my left-side only, and I've even learned how to self induce physical stress, but I can't do the right. This has become built-in from generations of war and injury to the left-side more that the right. I have played a lot of sport (e.g. rugby) and fallen a lot, favoring taking the hit on the left-side to protect the more-valuable, more-skilled, right-side. According to brain research, the left side of the brain works to survive (logical, analytical) while the right side gets the rewarding jobs (creativity etc). The right-side needs to be creative to slip past an attackers defense, while the left-side needs to be sensible and ensure survival (as the left side is more likely to take the hit). Think back, and think about how you've used your left hand to carry shopping bags, while using your right hand to open the front door (did you?). Relate this to carrying a shield for years on your left, while using your right hand to shake-hands or pull out a sword. Now imagine doing this, and then try imagine reversing the roles (is it difficult or unnatural?). Well this is what we are going to do to overcome our problem!!!
MY ADVICE: Try something that will help 'let the left side go' (and remove this stress). Regularly do something creative, but not at the expense of the left side. Swap left and right side roles (e.g. play golf left-handed). "Give the left-side some love". When you massage the left side, do it as slow as possible, balancing and focusing on the centre of the 'stress-balls'. This takes a long time, and makes the right side work at holding a static strngth position. Do not induce pain when doing this (do it softly), as the muscle then feels threatened and won't relax into a safe/relaxed position. Do the whole body, as all tension is linked, and only by removing all the tension, can relief set in on the entire side. IMPROVE THE SKILL IN YOUR LEFT SIDE, and remove the mindset for left-side robustness. Bring the balance into the system. Note 'Tai Chi on yin yang', simply for the theory of opposites. Find the imbalance between opposites in your body, becoming neutral. The more neutral you are collectively, the stronger your health. To build the left side's motor skills, do more repetitive 'light' quick movements and less 'heavy' strong ones. When stretching out your neck stiffness, do more repetitions (instead of forcing). Avoid static strength work on left, keep moving, and build static strength on the right. In the long run, favor stretching out the painful side of 'each opposite' in your body, but accumulate range in both directions, as this relieves tension (the route of all your pain).
So in summary, we need to make our left-side more skilled, so that its more efficient, and therefore fatigues less (which is a formidable challenge due to our past). This takes a long time depending on how out of balance we are, so maybe start with 'willpower building' exercises first. The core is where the strength problem starts, so ensure that you strengthen, and loosen your core (in balance). Keep alert to maintaining good posture, as this is where the relief will come from (through efficiency) in the long run. Exit battle mode using inner peace (you can go there later when you need to), and don't lose hope. We are inducing an adaptation mode, focused on balance, but we can't progress our health in battle mode. All my advice is aimed at the body AND THE MIND, and this is where our training begins (find something to link the body and mind on the left side).
Please let me know if you are unsure of anything in this post, as there is a lot to digest. I have been going through hell for 6 months and now in month 7 I have started understanding that the shift in balance is gradual, patience is required, and my muscles are now slowly starting to release their painful tensions through the principles I just shared.
Kind regards to all, Brett

Hey Laura my situation goes much deeper than everybody else's unfortunately. I played a lot of sports when I was younger and I guess I'm suffering repercussions from that. And if I had it to do over again I would still play sports. had trouble with my back for a long time. They found out my whole back was riddled with arthritis. I've had a lot of pain for a lot of years everything started when I had the largest blood clot that ever seen on somebody alive and I had two minutes to 2 hours before I died when I got to the hospital. and that's where the major problems first began. About 3 months ago I'm Fourth of July weekend A friend of mine brought me home in about an hour after I got home my left side my rib cage I got some of the worst pain I've ever had in my life I could not sleep at all that night and the next night I slept for a couple hours I guess about 5 in the morning to 7 and I did that through Saturday night Thursday I did get a couple of restless hours of sleep but that was the only rest I got will the pain started going down Saturday night and on Sunday all of it went to my right side. The pain was undescribable I just can't even tell you. all together I've had two MRIs On My Feet two of my body just in the past year I can't even tell you how many CTS and x-rays. and I'm supposed to go have another one. they sent me to my hematologist-oncologist and he said my liver is in very bad shape. I have cirrhosis of the liver and now I'm going to a gastrologist cuz I believe they think I might have cancer he didn't want to give me a final diagnosis till after that. but the whole left side of me things it started to happen worse over the past couple of weeks it got really bad in my hips and side and now it's moved all down my leg the upper part of my leg was really bad when my hips started but anyway it's moved from my left ear all the way down to my toes. I have tingling throughout my body my feet burn inside of my hands. And nobody's for sure what it is. there's so many things that relate to all the different symptoms that are going on with me and I've read so many things just trying to figure out stuff on my own. please let me know if you hear anything and I'll let you know what happens. maybe if we all work together we can figure this out. Good luck to you!

Hi all
I also was wondering if it was just me going crazy as no one i have talked to including my doc can tell me anything.. I have the same symptoms going on 5-6yrs.. I though it stemed from my left hip or sacrum area but it can be anything now that sets it off and it feels as though my whole left side inflames along the tendons or nerves even to the point that my saliver ducts inflames and my ear blocks and whole side just hums or tingles and i agree with previous posts abaout the cracking thing.. Does it affect anyone elses mental state? It does mine and i feel like im just hanging on. I am a single mum with 2 crazy boys and its really hard living with this pain and trying to be stable for them.. Let along keep my relationship with my beautiful man who doesn't understand why im so irritable.. I dont take much medication anymore as it doesn't really help but when its getting bad i mix two heaped teaspoons of tumeric powder in a bit of water and shot it that helps a bit.. I have been diagnosed with a pyroll Disorder which makes sense with the vitamin b association with this thing and am on tablets for that but it doesn't seem to help much with the pain but it is for my brain inbalance so its for that not the pain. But im glad i have found you all even just to speak to others who are going through the same thing
im on a mission to find out more!!!
