VINEGAR, VINEGAR AND MORE VINEGAR!!! You don't need to pay money to get rid of these things!! Listen up people, if you want to see quicker results just use vinegar to get rid of your awful warts or veruca/s!! Get either white wine vinear or apple cider vinegar, cotton wool balls and some duck tape. Break the cotton wool into smaller pieces (slightly larger than the veruca or wart itself) Soak these cotton wool pieces in vinegar and place directly over the veruca/s. Secure in place over night with plenty of duck tape. Do this every night. In the morning, remove the tape and shower as usual. Let the area dry up during the day and leave alone. After only a few days you will feel slight tenderness in the veruca area and you will notice that it changes colour, becoming darker. I think that this is because the veruca has absorbed the vinegar and the flesh is decaying and drying up. This is the only thing that has helped me with mine. Don't waste money on over the counter products-its a waste!! Don't have them cut out or frozen or lazered-off until youhave tried this for at least 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure this will be the most effective thing you've tried! And easy and natural and cheap. Try it!! Good luck!!! xoxox :ok:

Hello, I don't normally post things like this, but I felt that this time I just had to, to say thank you so much really for this amazing advice! I had been struggling with 3 verrucas, one was very small (got frozen off) one was a bit bigger, which took at least a year's worth of trips to get frozen for it to eventually go away, but the worst one was really big. I was running out of options, had tried everything and after 3 years of having it I went to chiropodist to have it frozen and it nearly went but then came back with a vengeance! Started spreading quite rapidly and I was very concerned, when I found this post. I won't lie, I didn't believe that this could possibly work so well! From the first night I put on white wine vinegar and left it overnight with plasters on it (should probably have used something stronger to keep it in place but plasters worked for me so) the next morning I noticed area around it was raised and white, and the main verrucas in a cluster were a bit darker. Thought it was just my imagination but persisted anyway! The next day I did it again and they seemed more like the individual black bits were coming out of my foot. Did this over the course of the next week and even though it was a bit sore in the morning at the end of the week, all the black bits had nearly fallen out! Often I gave it a rest a couple of days in between to let the skin heal, and then eventually a lot of the skin came off (I know gross! sorry!) but it was so much clearer underneath. there was a few very slight brown dots left so I did the vinegar again for 2 nights and then left it a week without and more skin came off, leaving nothing underneath! Honestly cannot believe this remedy, it's so cheap and easy, only bad thing is that it can hurt a little sometimes, but even so... PERSIST! I wish I had found this out sooner and saved myself a lot of money, and a lot of pain getting my foot frozen, the soreness and pain from the vinegar was nothing in comparison to my foot being in agony and my nerves in my skin being damaged. Thank you so much to the people who have commented and shared their experiences and to the person who started this post. My feet feel so much better and I feel confident to be able to go swimming again! Good luck to everyone trying to get rid of their nasty warts/verrucas. Vinegar is the way forward guys!

Need a bit of advice. I've had this verruca for around 8 years although it was small and not painful I didn't know until I went to the podiatrist about 5yrs ago. I had treatments done but nothing worked and it was costly over 3yrs. All it succeeded at was making it worse and aggressive.

I did start this treatment years ago but found it very painful and had shocks of pain riveting up my leg after the 2nd week of pursuing this home remedy. Let's say I had stop and didn't restart. I asked the docs recently if u could have it surgically removed as it's causing so much pain and he said "no chance". Instead I was referred to a specialist who then told me they can't do nothing for me. The specialist told me about verrugon which is an acid treatment to do at home. Well I've been using it for just under 2 weeks and I have burnt out a deep hole in the middle of my heel. I am in extreme pain but my question is would it be okay to switch between acid treatments and vinegar? I don't even know how I will know when it's gone. I just want it gone sooner rather than later. Would I push the acv cotton into the hole? Not sure exactly what I'm doing or even if I can bare anymore pain. My walking is becoming effected sad

you keep putting the vinegar on.  you have to take a little bit of pain. You will be able to tell you are winning by new skin growing back, even when you think you have won keep putting the vinegar on for at least another week or so.  Cotton wool soaked in vinegar and gaffer  tape to stop the air getting to it.

Well it's been another 2 weeks of treatment. Vinegar over night, salicylic acid during the day, Epsom salt foot soak and scrub every evening. I've had to have 1 day break from the vinegar as I could barely walk on my foot anymore. I barely have much skin tissue left on my heel and yet although this is the furthest progress I've ever made I think I might have unveiled 2 more deep veruccas next to the one I'm treating but it's very difficult to tell and surely it cannot be too much deeper. How long does this treatment usually take or what's the longest I can expect to be treating this for?

It depends on how it has been there,  take a break for a week keep it covered with duck tape and then start again,  thinks months rather than weeks but you will get there read the other stories.

Hi, I have had my verruca for 12 years now and I am exausted! I tried lots of stuff available over the counter - verucca always won. Today I'm starting ACV treatment hoping it works for me. My walking is affected too - I tell people in work I stood on a plug! What I've done the other day was: I took a pair of flip-flops,they have to be one of those thick onesand cut a hole out where the verucca is under my foot. I made it a bit bigger than the treated area. Now when I walk there is no pressure. It helps me coping with everyday tasks. Try it smile

My son had two verucas, one the sole of each foot. I read up on the internet for advice. I tried a salicilic acid based product that didn't work completely. I tried a Boots freeze remedy that also didn't work. Then I came across your post. I have followed the instructions, for most of 10 days (missed a few days) and the verucas are gone!! Fantastic result. The genius of this treatment from a childs point of view, is that if you put on the Cotton Wool with vinger, and sticking plaster + duct tape, just as the child is getting into bed...... the child is likley to fall asleep in a few minutes, and most likely wont feel any stinging sensation, or wont interfere with the application, or step on it etc. My son didn't complain of any stinging sensation in any case, except once, when the cotton wool was many too wet with the vinegar. Just took it out, squeez out excess moisture and put in back on, without further complaint. Also you dont feel (in contrast to e.g. the freeze treatment which has some frightening warnings on the packaging... that you are risking an damage to their foot, as the vinegar is a natural product). Thanks for this brillant natural remedy, that would appear way superior to proprietory verucca removal products.

I've just started this treatment and it's the first that has seems to work. the verruca appears to be coming to the surface. I'm just wondering if I will have to dig it out as it's so very deep. I think I've had this for at keast 2 years.

Does it have to be duct tape that I use? I have some masking tape and really want to start tonight as I won't have access to anywhere to get the duct tape for a few days. Please help. I'm sick of these verrucas now. Thankyou

Hi, yes go ahead with the masking tape- I did exactly the same thing when I discovered this treatment! I wanted to get started immediately and all I had in the house was masking tape :-) I used it for a couple of days and then  switched to surgical tape, and it worked perfectly. My veruca, which had not responded to the doctors four liquid nitrogen treatments at all, was gone in about two months. Duct tape was not necessary for me at all, which was great as I imagine surgical tape is a lot gentler on the  surrounding skin  around the veruca. Stick with the acv, even when it stings a bit. It really works. Good luck!

I'm a netball player and regularly play, so was just wondering before I start the treatment how much it will impede (I'm a bit of a wuss and am a little scared with how painful it will be) my playing and how long on average would it take? I have 2 very painful verrucas on my heel and tried everything to get rid of them.

Is anyone still using this treatment? I have several verrucas and now a wart has appeared on my index finger. I suspect that I have spread the virus. Has anyone used the ACV method on warts on their fingers? I started just a few days ago treating the verrucas and wonder if I should also do the same with the wart?
