Hey guys, I have been looking on this forum for the last month as I have experienced similar symptoms for the last 2.5 months. I have been very persistent with my urologist who has been very helpful in this difficult time. I have tried many prescriptions to try and find a fix for these symptoms. These ranged from: 2 types of antibiotics, 2 types of bladder relief pills for helping overactive bladder, and now I am trying a drug for painful bladder syndrome (which should help nerves). I currently have not had any different luck in finding progress with anything just as past comments have listed.

As others have said, I do believe that it is partially mental, because when I do any physical activities it seems to be gone or toned down to a relatively unnoticeable level. But I also do know that it is real due to the reoccurring and sudden occurance. I was really hoping that someone would have a possible answer to solve this problem by now. I am having trouble doing daily items and concentrate in class since I am a college student with mega lectures in my schedule. I wish to have these symptoms gone before my exams this semester because I failed a final exam last semester due to my inablility to concentrate for a 2 hour exam. I really am just getting annoyed and depressed from these symptoms because it is causing me to rarely leave my home without feeling uncomfortable and unable to fully participate in my education. The worst part about these symptoms is that it makes me want to pinch and hold my penis when i get the feeling, which therefore makes it uncomfortable for me to ride with others or sit in public places.

Please reply with any advice or ideas to help solve our similar problem. Thanks for anyone reading this and good luck to anyone else experiencing these problems. Stay strong and keep talking with your urologist for any recommendations to find a possible "cure".

please try d-mannose. You can get it in health food stores. it is effective at clearing the urinary tract in many instances. it works specifically on E. coli, which is the bug that causes the majority of UTI. Dmannose is a simple sugar that happens to bind E. coli using the same receptors that the bacteria uses to stick to the urinary tract, including the urethra.

If a UTI is localised to the urethra it may not be detected by urine cultures and dip sticks which are more effective at detecting bladder infections . Dont rule out E. coli too early.

My problem really started to affect me around 9 months ago.

Since, I've had this constant feeling of wet penis (sometimes feeling like it's dripping all over my pants), it's like there is pee stuck in the urethra. Recently I've had ED and premature ejaculation because of the sensation. It's affecting my mental health strongly.

I've seen so much urologist and not a single one seemed to care and they all made me buy something called "Toviaz", did nothing.

Here is some things that might have caused this for me :

    • Frequent masturbation at the time it started, edging(holding) and sometimes I've blocked the flow by tightening my legs (was an habitude)
    • When I was young I had a similar problem and even tried unblocking it with a toothpick (might have worsened it)
    • Recently I'm at a low level of serotonine because of MDMA. But I had this problem some times before taking so I'm not sure about this one.
    • My penis is not straight, it goes up and it's rotated.

I've read some things about stress and I can tell you it's not the cause it only cause more pain.

I've read about D-Mannose so i've tried it but after 2 weeks I feel no improvments.

Recently I've found something interesting : Urethral Stricture . This could cause more frequent infections and irritations, that's probably why it come back and forth?

I will try to call every urologist of my town to get this checked.

Has anyone ever resolved this problem ????

Hi, take a look at my separate response to the main question and give it a go. I am sure it will give you immediate relief.

I think a lot of these problems are dermatalogical/allergy related.

Very interesting thread. I too have suffered many of the problems that are mentioned:

    • Feeling that urine is trapped in penis, particularly in the glans
    • Frequent urination
    • Pain in penis (sometimes relieved by urinating, sometimes made worse)
    • Sometimes feels that the urine is not flowing properly through the penis (feels blocked)

Like most of you, doctors have found nothing wrong, and antibiotics have not worked. The problem seems to come and go, but this time it has been with me for many months.

I also believe the problem started due to over aggressive masturbation and sex, particularly squeezing the penis too hard. Abstinence makes the symptoms slowly disappear (usually a month), but they immediately come back when I start masturbating again.

It seems to me that the mechanical manipulation of the penis is somehow causing inflammation of the urethra, and also the glans of the penis. Somebody mentioned using Hydrocortisone Cream earlier on in the thread so last night, I thought I would give it a go. The effect was incredible. The pain and strange feelings were reduced by about 90% within 30 minutes. This morning I applied it again and so far symptoms are far more manageable. I guess the inflammation is still there so it will take a while to go entirely, but I finally have some hope. The cream I am using is 0.50% which is extremely mild and can be bought over the counter at any pharmacy. I recommend to use a small amount of cream after washing and thoroughly drying, pull back the foreskin, and rub it all over the head of the penis and the pulled back skin. I also put some in the opening of the Urethra.

    Good luck all!

hey guys. 40 yr old male.

had many of the same symptoms described on this forum for about a month.

all of my tests ( blood, prostate exam, urine and CT scan) came back normal and clean.

reputable dr doesnt know exactly what the cause is, but is not concerned. after i received the all clear, i stopped thinking about the problem constantly and i have seen a dramatic change. leads me to think that it is partly psychological/ stress related. perhaps i irritated my urethra somehow or some foods were irritating my bladder--i dont know.

what i do know is that my symptoms are practically gone and when they do manifest, they are fleeting. i just say to myself "its nothing" and carry on with my day.

the only changes i have made are more exercise and additional drinking of water throughout the day.

lets hope it doesnt come back because it was awful for 3 weeks.

Hello people, 31 male here happy to finally find those with completely same symptoms.

Like others have said, finding this forum is like a blessing because I feel the doctors don't understand what is actually wrong. I've had this same issue for at least 8 months now; right after peeing, a feeling pee is still left in the penis/tip. No pain either when peeing; just slight annoying sensation after at tip. I've also started breathing in and holding to try and get more pee out because maybe I'm not emptying bladder all the way. I definitely see dribble as well, so I try dabbing a few times after (and sometimes its ok), though other times more comes out (I notice wet spot on underwear, plus I believe if it does wet it, I get this even more annoying sensation as if I'm leaking. Thinking just the head of penis constantly touching the wet spot is the problem with that). I don't really feel anything in the bladder itself unless I am able to hold out for a while, but by then I don't feel the feeling at the head anymore.

Many urine tests (all negative), no UTIs, even did a cystoscopy and MRI, and both tests showed I am fine. Been on many different meds like Tamsulosin (no ejaculation, screw that) and am currently on Myrbetriq. Next step Dr wants to take is some nerve device but I am not doing that.

Everything is being treated as overactive bladder, which it might be, but the thing is the urge to pee comes directly from the feeling from the head of the penis, and always like a minute or so right after peeing. That is why I think none of these meds are working because its targeting the wrong spot. If I am able to hold it and ignore it (like when I go to work sometimes) it goes away and I feel somewhat normal again. Then I pee normally and it comes back. Sometimes these feelings are worse some days or very good others (I once went a couple weeks being ok and thought maybe I don't need a doctor anymore, then then they came back). Also, masturbation seems to trigger the same symptoms, with sometimes more semen coming out after ive gone limp and small again.

After reading all of these comments I started to wonder if maybe my urethra too is just irritated and needs to heal (i definitely masturbate too much, but been recently trying to control myself better). One thing I don't believe I have read anyone else mention though is that if I have this feeling in the head, should I get hard (like masturbate), the feeling goes away. My theory was the muscle closing bladder to urethra is not tightening enough, causing this feeling, but by being hard it forces it closed (since you can't pee and ejaculate at same time). Maybe I need those pelvic exercises? Or try that D-mannose some suggest. Or maybe it is gluten related as someone else suggested (and I love my foods).?

Either way, I am glad to have finally found this forum and just wish I found it earlier so I could have talked to my doctor more about what others have said. If anyone comes across more details and such, please respond!

hi Sharp. All you have to do is urethra swab and test it for anaerobic and aerobic bacteria. The same with semen (culture test). Urine test is pointless if you don't have water infection at present. Those tests I mentioned are hard to find in UK as most doctors have no clue and telling people lies that you can't pass those bacteria during sex. Opposite is the true.

I'm sure that if you do that then you will find your answer

      hey

I have pretty much the same thing going on. it's been just over 18 months for me 😔 still no further forward

I'm at about the same about of time, its better but still there. Ive noticed that hard surfaces trigger it for me, so like, sitting at my desk, on a hard couch, or in a car. If I'm active or laying down I'm usually fine.

Have you had any tests done. I'm really starting to think that this is a Thing, i check up on here and another thread I'm on and more and more people are coming forward with these strange symptoms.

I almost think we should start some sort of group where we can properly combine all our data and find an answer to this. there's power in numbers. I'm completely lost and don't know what to do next, but I'm tired of just sitting here waiting for a miracle.

All the best fellas, I feel your pain!

hi nosened.you do not need any data to get to bottom of it. Just read my previous post. Most prostate gland infection/ inflammation is caused by bacteria. It is as simple as that. The reason why it is missed by Doctors is because they only looking for STD/STI like chlamydia/ gonorrhea and others. Also when they test your urine and are finding small amounts of bacteria (so called no significant growth) they are putting it down to sample contamination. Therefore they are misleading you by saying that everything is normal- no bacteria. That typical NHS policy designed to save money for NHS so they do not have to continue investing further (despite you having all the symptoms of water infection).

Once the bacteria is in your prostate it is very difficult to eradicate it - you eating antibiotics and damaging your liver in the process.

      Hello, Thanks for your reply.

Is the reply you are referring to this one :

*****"All you have to do is urethra swab and test it for anaerobic and aerobic bacteria. The same with semen (culture test)*."

I live in USA so hopefully i can find a urologist who will do this for me.

Thanks for your input, I'm going crazy lately, its come back full force. Are you getting anywhere with your own symptoms , were they able to figure this out for you?

hi. Im infected with more then one bacteria. I managed to eradicate Enterococcus faecalis hlar after first IV treatment. My symptoms gone for 4 weeks. Then they found different Enterococcus (not hlar) + Staphylococcus. Now I'm during my second IV treatment. My symptoms are gone completely. But this antibiotics are bad for you in general. so I'm tired and my liver is getting hit. But so far no permanent damage. It will recover afterwards. I'm monitoring my blood tests and liver function test every few days. Fingers crossed.

So if let say you will find the bacteria in your semen it doesn't mean that there is only one there. Once eradicated it makes space (room) for other (less dominant breed). So it is important to repeat test after 3-4 Weeks. Especially if you have the symptoms
