Ever since i was 7 years old, iv been feeling constantly sick, i will go a couple of years of feeling really sick 24/7 then a couple of years feeling fine. It just comes and goes over long periods of time. This time i have been feeling constantly sick, anxious, bloated, acid refluxes and stomach pains. I have to mention i have a fear of vomiting and all these feelings only makes my fear worse, i haven't put my life on hold from (even tho i sometimes feel like i want too). I also have trouble going to the toilet sometimes (number 2) i quite often get constipated. Im only 23 years old, male by the way and i cant go out drinking with friends, go out for meals or even holidays because i feel like throwing up all the time, its just a nightmare!! I don't even know what normal feels like anymore all i feel is SICK, NAUSEA AND DISCOMFORT, its so distressing and makes me angry sometimes. Does anyone have any answers or idea to what this might be? Or ever experienced this before? Would very much appreciated your views

hello !! okay i finally have an answer. ive written on this a while ago about my symptoms and story which is pretty much identical to each of yours. about 2 weeks ago i went to the specialist and finally got an answer. i have non-rotational bowel or non rotation of the bowel. basically my intestines are in the wrong position, i'm born like that. it mainly isn't a problem as people live with it for their entire lives not knowing they have it and i didn't even know i had it until now. it's a rare condition, 1 in 6000 people get it which is not a lot. it has all the symptoms basically what everyone on here has. i'm not saying everyone has this condition but it's something to get checked out. i had 3 mri's until they found it and mri is the only thing to find it. a colonoscopy or endoscopy won't find it i know weird?? but it's just something to suggest to your doctors or something to think aboutsmile and i hope all of you can get closure one day.

I know this is an old post, but was wondering if you are still suffering with the same issues? I had been having the same symptoms every day for over a month and thought I was never going to live a normal life again.

I was suffering from constant nausea, bloating, headaches, a constant nervous, churning stomach. It was hard to eat because I'd get sick after.

I suffer from anxiety so I wondered if this could all be anxiety related. After trying so many other things I took a Xanax. Instantly my nausea vanished and my stomach rumblings are nearly gone! I feel normal again!

Just a thought that it definitely can be caused by anxiety.

    I wish you the best,

    Kathy

      Kathy,

There is no doubt that nerves will make nausea worse, but i dont know if its the cause. I have IBS and Gastroparesis.

I took ativan and during my most recent episode with nausea the Ativan took care of it. I also take a pain medication that is no doubt having an effect

So sorry you have suffered like this!

I had caught an intense flu/cold virus. lasted for a a looong time and almost died. Since then I've been dealing with a loooot of acid. To the point to where I'll feel lightheaded and dizzy from it and sometimes feel like I might pass out briefly off and on. Sometimes the acid gets so intense that it feels like my torso is on fire and it's going to melt all my organs! Have had pain on my side and back Area from it too.

I read online that Extra Virgin Pine Nut Oil has helped maaaaaany people.

Some saying they were suffering for years and it brought relief.

They say it actually heals your gut and stomach (doesn't just treat the symptoms but actually HEALS your gut)

You are supposed to take 1teaspoon three times a day 30-60 minutes before a meal.

It is kind of pricey.. about 40-50 dollars for an 8.5 oz bottle, but that bottle should last about 16 days or so at the rate if 1 tablespoon total per day.

If it actually helps heal this misery, it will be totally worth it! Uuuuuuugh!!!!

I have this in order. Sure hope it helps! Just wanted to pass on the info because I heard it has helped many people.

Best of luck! Sure hope this helps!

I understand that this is a very old post however I have been experiencing the very same symptoms over the last few years however mine is not on again off again- my nausea, abdominal pain, and occasional reflux is constant. I have been feeling incredibly frustrated as I am constantly off school and work because of all my stomach pain and nausea. I have been to the doctor an uncountable amount of times about my stomach problems but he just doesn’t know what is wrong. A few days ago he suggested that I will hopefully grow out of it in about SIX YEARS! I have tried diet changes I went to see a dietician about my problems and I am now gluten free, dairy free, soy free, vegetarian (personal choice) and am not allowed to eat garlic, honey, apples, raspberries, asparagus, and the list goes on. Although my symptoms may be worse if I do eat these foods, cutting them out has not improved my feelings and I am constantly feeling ill. It has been suggested that is is anxiety also but this is not the root of the problem. It is confirmed that I do not have appendicitis and I eat healthy and I am just so frustrated as no-one will tell me what is going on. Also I am terrified of throwing up similar to a lot of the previous commenters.

i can definetely feel your frustration.   write this down.  Gastric Emptying Test.  this test is looking to see if the stomach is emptying food in the amount of time its suppose to and if it isnt this will give you a diagnosis of Gastroparesis, which would explain all the symptoms.  now this said I dont know if u have been thru the regular testing and u need to have this looked at.  first have a Gastroscope procedure so they can look at your esophagus and stomach. this can reveal alot. Ulcers, chronic gastritis, etc also small bowel series and colonoscopy. if your young it doesnt matter many of the problems associated with these test arent restricted to old age.  none of these test are painful at all

I just want suggest it’s the water. I am highly allergic to most tap water, and I suspect some bottled too. I have used faucet attachments to filter my water, which worked great until I had to buy a new filter every 3 months. Now I usually just get water at the store, and make sure the label say purified or filtered. You probably have some other problem, like me, but doing this may help u a lot.

Hello I know it's a bit late but has anyone looked into the whole ' stomach Flora' and how to healthily maintain it at home with certain foods? I have had gastro issues since my second pregnancy in'94 and had my gallbladder out in '99. I've had the worst gastritis that made me question whether my gallbladder had grown back and gone bad again! Jk.....but yeah it's been a nightmare. I also looked into the fact that hormones have a lot to do with our digestion and so many other functions. So yeah, uh whole grain oats like rolled oats or Cheerios. Pickled fermented foods like pickles and  also yogurt with live cultures or Khefir. Flax seed helped my sick belly issues and it is good for gaining hormonal balance which I know is also part cause of the root cause of my seemingly periodic digestive issues. I get pain at night and then I vomit alot of acid. The pain  usually subsides after that. It can go on for days with nighttime being the worst.

Have you had an endoscopy with biopsies done? You could have eosinophilic gastritis, which is a rare disease that causes a specific type of white blood cell, called eosinophils, to attack and inflame the stomach. It causes symptoms like yours. The only way to test for it is to have biopsies take via endoscopy. It's a very rare disease so doctors don't think to consider it when trying to figure out what's causing symptoms like these. Eosinophilic gastritis is treated with corticosteroids like budesonide, mast cell stabilizers like ketotifen or cromolyn sodium, or monoclonal antibodies like mepolizumab.

Another possibility is Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), which is a type of bacteria that can infect your stomach and cause symptoms like these. H. pylori is treated with antibiotics.
