Dizziness, headaches, foggy, pressure in head & plugged ears

It's happening again, everyday it's the same thing and I don't know how to calm myself down. I think when ever I get these feeling I am going to pass out and die instantly. The dizziness gets so bad I have to hold my head and close my eyes I don't understand it. I always think I'm having a heart attack, stroke, blood clot in my head or cancer all the time because doctors still don't know why I get these symptoms. I get anxiety so bad because of the pain I get and I keep thinking the worse things. I keep thinking that i am getting the wrong diagnosis from the doctors and if I ignore the pain it is actually something serious then it's too late to do anything about it.
Tests that I got done in the last 3 years were: xray of my head and neck, mri of head, numerous blood work. I have done physio, chiro, acupuncture and massage therapy. Only thing that kind of helps is massage therapy which is what I am still doing now.
I am getting no answers and just worrying everyday. I just want these symptoms to go away I want my life back I don't feel like the same person anymore.

Hi everyone,
After reading all the comments of those experiencing the same symptoms as I was, I saw tha several people commented that taking Magnesium helped them greatly. So I immediately started taking it, and my symptoms almost completely diminished. However, I also discovered after drinking a small amount of milk in a cup of coffee, that my symptoms returned! So now I'm wondering if my symptoms were due to a milk (dairy) allergy all along ...

That's interesting. Are you sure it's not the coffee? Caffeine can make vertigo worse, I know it makes my dizziness worse if I have a lot of coffee. I'm vegetarian and try to eat vegan, not being a very good vegan at the moment but even when I am strict with not eating dairy I still get the dizziness. You should definitely try cutting dairy for a few weeks and see if there's much improvement

Wow!!! I have been having these EXACT symptoms that you have I also feel and think I'm dying all the time I have gone to doctors, emergency rooms and nothing some tell me I have vertigo some just look at me and tell me it's mental. I was so upset because I thought I was going crazy 😩. My brother is now a doctor and believes I have an anxiety disorder( mind you I don't know why I live a pretty normal day to day life ) so I was prescribed the lowest dose of xanax and that has helped me tremendously even tho some days are better than others....... I just wish I had my healthy life back but for now I just deal. I am so happy and thankful for your blog but in reality I wish that no one would feel that way!!

Hi - it sounds like you have vestibular migraine - another name is migraine associated vertigo. There are two very good websites on facebook. Its not actually vertigo its dizziness but all part of the same thing. Due to excess electricity coming from brain stem and crossing the vestibular system causing weird and wonderful changing symptoms. We are trying to get more people aware of it as GPs and ENTs have no idea. You need a neurologist. See

Hello! I'm 24 years old and I also have the same exact issues I've seen a doctor twice but he tells me it shouldn't be anything to worry about but I'm going again to get some tests for sure. My symptoms for some reason are usually at night when I'm laying down idk why.. they include headaches like tension around my head and back of head gets slightly numb, ear feel a little clogged, I get tingling and or small amount of numbness on leg and arm, neck stiffness a little, short breathe sometimes. And I get tired after the symptom. Been happening for like 2 months. And never happened to me ever before. Family has no signs before from headaches issues.. sucks.

Hi Everyone,
I see that this post is a couple of years old now. I was just wondering how everyone was getting on. I too suffer from all those symptoms you listed. Particularly the head pressure, headache and dizziness.
It all started for me right after my first ever experience with vertigo. After seeing the doctor who diagnosed me with vestibular neuritis, I've continued to have these symptoms. It's been about 8 months. Some days are worse than others like today.
I hope one day we all wake up and find the symptoms have permanently gone. Thanks and God bless.

Hi danxdan,
I suffered for over 8 years with the same symptoms as you and the others. And like you, mine continued almost daily, after my first episode of vertigo, which was very severe. One day I had just finished eating a bowl of cereal, when my cat jumped into my lap, and out off nowhere, the room started spinning, my eyeballs started rolling around in my head, and my heart started beating triple time. I couldn't sit or stand, so I threw myself on the floor. I literally thought I was going to die. Then I had diarrhea. Not sure how long it lasted, but it felt like forever. After that I saw every doctor there is (cardiologist, neurologist, opthalmologist, 2 ENTs, orthodontist, etc. ). I got xrays, MRIs, CAT scans, ultrasounds, and everything came back normal. Then while scrolling this post, someone said they found relief by taking magnesium, so I immediately started taking it, and FINALLY I have found relief!!!

I've had the exact same issues. Been tested for everything. After being in the hospital for a week Neuro signed off saying it was just a migraine. BEINg followed by ENT now and I'm just so frustrated. I'm an RN and I can not work in this state. I can't even care for myself most days. Any further advice you have would be great.

omg I was so relieved when I read these posts!! Same exact symptoms and doctors and tests kept saying it's anxiety! I have had anxiety problems since ten years and I KNOW what anxiety is and what happens during my worst panic attacks -- this is very different from that!
My family has started thinking I need mental help and that it's all psychological ... MRI, EEG, CT scan, blood work, vertigo tests... everything normal! Neurologist has also brushed off saying I don't even have a migraine ... I wish it was migraine ... atleast there would be a cure -- they don't prescribe me anything more than OTC painkillers ... those don't even affect me 1%!
I have lost all hope ! Anyone found any cure?? I know the posts here are two years old so I'm hoping atleast one of you figured out what it could be! I am so desperate to find a cure because my life is affected badly by this terrible attack I get everyday and that too an unexpected hours :-(((
Someone anyone ... please help!
