Does anyone else have tinybumps all over the actual glans of penis like this?

I'd really like to know if anyone has this? I have ppp as you'd normally find on the rim of the glans but I also have all these tiny white bumps on the glans itself.

I'm not sure how long they've been there I don't believe they just apeared out of nowhere but I'm really noticing them now and stressing out over it.

I sent a pic to the doc cause they are closed in person and they said they thought the ones on the glans were normal but wasnt sure about around the rim.

She sent the pic to a dermatologist and they said its normal its Pearly Penile Papules but wasn't clear if the meant just the rim or not.

Doc said it doesnt look anything like warts and all my std tests came back negative.

They don't itch or anything, just unsightly and from what I've read ppp is normaly just the corona. I've read like articles where it mentions just the glans in general so maybe it's just that

... what you most likely have is Pearly Penile Papules (PPP) - do a search for details and images online ...

Please be aware PPP not only appear on the Corona / Rim of the head of the penis as the majority of online images will ONLY show - they are also very common on the glans / head of penis

No, as the Dermatologist said these are Pearly Penile Papules (PPP) they are typically present on the glans / head itself, not only the Corona / Rim of the glans - if you do a PPP Search they are rarely shown on the glans but that is what they are

Wow, thank you so much this is such a relief I reallllyyy apreciate your feedback Wee Dugie. Just wondering if you've ever experienced this before and also?

And if it's normal to experience redness on the glans also? I feel like the middle area is a little more red also ( although the picture doesn't show) no burning or nothing.

I think I'll still pay a visit to the Dr just incase to get clarification when the pandemic is oer but all my stds were clear and they said it didnt look like hpv from the pics so should be good!

      Thanks again sir!

So, yes, in a way it is normal to experience redness: an oversimplification of an explanation would be this was caused by 2 separate issues, or a combination of the two: A skin condition being present - something that the skin is in regular contact with that is causing irritation, and therefore, producing the redness.

For the vast majority of men redness is due to irritation, and most of this is caused by contact with soap and other forms of body wash such as shower gel. Wash with water ONLY and make sure to fully dry .....

Roger that thanks again, I've been using just water for maybe a month now it seems to be the same, maybe that's just always how it's been and I'm over thinking it.

Thanks for the reply and I'll update this as soon as I can get a visual check up just to be safe so that anyone who has the same thing can know whether its normal

Purely in terms of the redness, this is due to something that has irritated your penile skin.

For change to occur therefore, you need to remove the source or sources of irritation - once this is achieved the skin has the opportunity to recover and eventually heal.

What you need to be aware of is that skin of the Foreskin and Glans / Head of the penis is quite unlike skin elsewhere on the body, it does not switch from being irritated or unhealthy one day and several days later it will be fine again.

Depending on the original source of the irritation the process can actually take months to resolve.

A small percentage of people have an adverse reaction to the soap powder (or other wash treatments) that their clothes and things like towels are washed in. So, i.) only use towels that ONLY you use - if redness persists, or you want to try an alternative to your existing washing powder / wash treatment - then get yourself some Liquid Soap Flakes which you use in place of washing powder in your washing machine.

    Dear HealthQs,

Just want to clear up any misunderstanding about your anatomical conditions, which are entirely normal. The tiny spotty granules on the glans are likely to be Fordyce spots, although I agree with wee_dugie that you also have coronal papillae along the circumference of the glans.

Here's an excerpt on Fordyce spots from DermnetNZ, an online dermatology "bible" and a great source of reliable information:

"Fordyce spots are small (1–5mm), slightly elevated yellowish or white papules or spots that can appear on the glans or shaft of the penis, or the vulva of the female, the inside of the cheeks and on the vermilion border of the lips. They are also called Fordyce granules."

Hey Adhari, thank you so much I'll def look into that.

It seems that typically ppp can apear on the rim usually but sometimes the glans but not as much. so maybe it is fordyce spots instead. either way seems to be normal among certain people. thanks a lot for your response, I didnt realize you commented!

      Take care!

NO THEY ARENT THESE ARE CONTAGIOUS AND ENDEMIC YOU ARE SUCH A DANGEROUS FOOL!

As posted above, the pimples around your glans are pearly penile papules, lot of us have them, I certainly have them around the ridge of my glans. They are different to fordyce spots which usually occur on the shaft of the penis, usually the underside.

Hi all, your comments have been quite enlightening about my issues too, so thank you!

I have a question: I have something that looks like a pearly penile papule but they are not on the corona or the glans but a bit lower (I think it's called neck of the glans? follow my post to see some photos--> https://patient.info/forums/discuss/what-could-these-be-please-read-740037?page=0#3726013)

However, this grows in size (very very slowly). Is that normal?

    Thanks again!!
