Yes, I get this a lot, waking up every few hours with dread and a restless, panicky feeling. Some medications can make it worse so might be worth checking that.

I'm going through the same since my Perimenopause symptoms started. I hate when night time comes and I get this awful dreadful feeling.

I have trouble sleeping , staying asleep is my problem. I fall asleep ok but can't seem to stay asleep. I have so many awful symptoms it's so depressing.

Oh I have tried pretty much everything. Ambien, Lunesta, trazodone, so many can't remember all..I can fall asleep with no problem, is just staying asleep.

I'll probably get a sleep study because my insomnia started way before my perimenopause symptoms. I been dealing with the insomnia for too long sad

That is so me! I've had this for 18months since my periods went haywire - waking with sheer dread, panic, tingling etc. And just keep on waking up every half hour or so. Sometimes I take valium before bed and it does help a bit but I'm sure it makes me cry in the mornings!!

Like I had said I've been going through this for a long time so I guess getting a sleep study is what I'm going to get done.

Oh trust me I know..my mom has sleep apnea too. I'm a nurse too and I'm always giving referrals to our patients for sleep studies when they complain about insomnia.

I will probably be getting my sleep study done in a few days. I have to schedule it on Monday!
