Excessive Yawning and Constant Need to Breathe Deep

Posted , 480 users are following.

For the past few days, I've been yawning a lot, much more than average (once every few minutes I feel the need). If I'm not yawning I'm breathing in as deep as I can to get similar "satisfaction". Often I cannot get the "satisfaction" from these and so the urge grows and grows, meaning it can get quite uncomfortable. When I do manage it, the urge is back a few seconds later. This is whether I'm tired or not, almost all day.

I'm not particularly anxious about anything in particular, and get the same amount of sleep as before this started.

This also happened at some point within the past year which continued for a month or two if I remember correctly.

Does anyone have any idea what it is or how to make it a bit better?

Thanks.

I already responded here a few years ago

    I am currently taking anti-reflux and serotonin-cyproheptadine,

Don't believe it's stress - and all kinds of boutiques or all kinds of crap

It's a low level serotonin excess

A few more years the doctors will admit it

    We are currently dealing alone

      cyproheptadine mg 2 daily

This is good for excess serotonin

Regarding reflux, no matter what cure

Eventually doctors will come to this conclusion

It's excess serotonin in the brain + quiet reflux

Anyone who wants to stop suffering will take both of these drugs and will not listen to anyone

(Not boutique method / hypertension / anxiety / something mental)

I have been suffering for 20 years - and with God I found the solution

hello, what drugs are you talking about that gave you relief? what doctors did you see made this conclusion?

I have been following this discussion for quite a while but never commented but feel I need to share with you all as I have basically cured myself. I've had this for nearly 2 years - never feeling like I could get a deep enough breath and when I did it was instant relief until 2 minutes later when the need to take a deep breath again would come back. I would think about it constantly and just the thought of it would bring it on. I've had every test under the sun, ct scans, xrays of my lungs, heart, lung function tests, psychologists, hypnotherapy, drugs (anti-depressents, anxiety medication), herbal, vitamins - you name it I've had it/tried it and it's never gone away. I never ever believed that it could be anxiety (even though I was told this quite a few times) as it was such a physical sensation I was convinced it had to be something medical. Anyway about 3 months ago I watched a documentary on Netflix called Heal. It was all about healing yourself using your mind. One of the people in the documentary said "you need to get your concious mind out of the way of your subconcious mind before you can start healing". This statement totally resinated with me - breathing is something you do subconciously but for some reason I was conciously constantly thinking about it and controlling it manually (by taking that deep breath - even though it was a physical sensation I was relieving). I started to say to myself things like "get out of the way (concious mind) and let my subconcious take control" and "I don't need to be thinking about this and I'm handing it over to my subconcious mind" everytime I got the feeling of needing to breath deeply (which was all the time). It sounds totally insane and it has taken around 6 weeks but I can now even think about taking a deep breath and just don't get that sensation of needing to. I honestly now believe I've just handed it over to my subconcious and it's not something I need to conciously worry myself about. It didn't happen straight away and I felt like a total idiot talking to myself about my concious and subconcious mind but just the repetition every day has actually worked. I'm now back running which I haven't done for 18 months and I feel great. For the first time in 2 years I actually feel totally normal. I really hope this helps someone - sounds insane but I don't think we realise how strong the mind is. I'd also recommend to anyone to watch the documentary Heal (I've watched it twice). It really helped me.
