Exposing clitoris again

Hello,
I am 25 years old and I am pretty sure that I have had LS go undiagnosed since I was a child. I have my clitoris fully fused and very little of my labia minora left. I was wondering if there is any way to get my clitoris back other than surgery? I am currently living in the UK but I am from Canada. Any advice would be extremely helpful.
Thank You,
Nicole

I just recently had a vulva biopsy. It is not painful other than the numbing stuff that is injected where the biopsy is going to be taken. Very quick though. It took about 3-4 weeks for spot to completely heal. Not painful though.
My fused labia is better since using steroid ointment. But right labia minora is all but gone. I am distressed about clitoral fusion. Way less sensation. Is surgery affective?

I had a clitoral biopsy. 2 holes either side. I did not feel a thing and recovery was not too bad. It healed within a couple of weeks. It scarred pretty badly 😦

hi Jen, i went ahead with biopsy . procedure was ok as you said . Like you right labia minors all but gone. I wonder if we need them!
clitoral fusion , yes way less sensation . I havent asked about surgery . Im worried how far fusion progresses. I must ask more questions at consultation.

hi May,
Was the biospsy result ok.? This is all strange stuff isnt it and not something that women talk about. Did the scarring result in loss of sensation?

Hi, Nicole. I am considerably older than you, but I have been dealing with LS for a few years I believe. I had terrible itching and pain first, then the fusing. After using some different creams prescribed by my doctor which only improved the condition to a point, I was lucky enough to get referred to a sexual medicine nurse specialist and then gynocologist who both have a special interest in vulvar medicine. After the exams and biopsy, I started on an aggressive treatment program using clobestasol propionate ointment (steroid 0.05%) three times a day for the first month, and then cutting back per the doctor's instructions the next two months. Additionally, I use an estrogen cream at bedtime twice a week. The white patches and lesions I had are gone, but the "seams" of skin are still there. As the skin has become more soft and pliable, I have tried to gently stretch the fused spots. My right labia minora is much smaller, and there is a fold of skin on the side of my clitoris, but the skin feels healthy and more sensitive so I continue with all that I have been doing. Please try and find a reputable gynocologist first before going a surgical route. And best of luck, Nicole. Take care.

Just had stem cell lift done and after suffering for at least 10 plus years with this diagnosis the unfusing took place today during the procedure.
look into stem cell therapy. It is amazingly responsive to ls. Shocking that something which has such positive results isn't touted much more by the gynecological professionals!

Hi Tris88418,
I'm really interested to hear more about this stem cell therapy. Did you get it done in the uk or else? Do you mind sharing how much in cost? Thanks

If you can let us know how you've been now thats it been a while since your stem cell lift that would be great! I'm very seriously considering getting it.

I use baking soda or borax in a spray bottle/Perin bottle. I put three pinches in the bottle and fill with warm water. This I use after I have urinated to rinse off. Then I dry with a small towel that I use for this purpose.

Hi Nicole,
I acknowledge it's been six years since you posted this but just to say that last December at the age of thirty- six, I found out that I had no labia minora and that my clitoris was fully fused. I also think that I have had LS since I was a child and am not sure that I ever had a Labia Minora but did have a Clitoris. Due to my LS not being diagnosed for nearly twenty years (despite numerous trips to the GP with an inflamed Labia Majora, pustules, etc), my Clitoris became fully fused. I was told by a consultant Gynaecologist that I had lost my Clitoris and that it would never come back- I cried. Luckily, I emailed a LS Charity who gave me lots of information and advice and I went back to my GP who referred me to a dermatologist.
Separate to this, I massaged my fused clitoris with a pea sized amount of steroid ointment for around twenty to forty minutes a day until it started to un-fuse (it started to un- fuse after about five days). The information that the gynaecologist gave me about losing my clitoris was incorrect and my GP was not happy that I was told this.
Your clitoris will still be there it will be hidden. There are two ways that a clitoris can fuse (I think either North to South or West to East and it is harder to un- fuse west to east). I think my was fused West to East so it not completely un- fused but is much better (loads more sensitive).
Good luck.

Hi there,
I am new to this forum and it is very reassuring to me to hear that I am not alone with fusion (I believe I am in the East to West group!). I had not realised that there was potential to release adhesions through massage. I am wondering how much resistance to apply to adhesed areas during massage? Any advice is much appreciated.
Thank you!
