Finally found the cause of my Prostatitis

After my 2nd test of just providing a semen sample, Staphylococcus was found to be my problem causing prostatitis. This is good news to me since I have been dealing with this for 7 months and on and off for years. I was on 2 weeks of Cipro and since it did not work and I am allergic to shell fish so Bactrim will not work, the doctor would like to administer the antibiotics via poss IV ABX, every day for 28 days. The clinic is close by me thank God and will be in an out in an hour each day. Does anyone have experience with this procedure for Bacterial Prostatitis?

I have been meaning to make this post for over 5 years now and feel guilty that i haven't. I long ago figured out how to cure my prostatitis and feel like i should have given back to society by sharing my discovery. Here goes......
I went to a doctor to treat this issue and like all other doctors all they want to do is prescribe you medicine. I knew I didn't want to go that route because what if it came back? Would that mean i would need to take the medicine again?
I finally discovered the simple solution. All you need to do is massage your prostate once a day for about 1 week and it will be gone forever. I suffered like many of you and couldn't even sit because of the pain. Here is how to do it.
Make sure you clean your fingers and hand that you will use with soap and alcohol. Then put a little olive oil or any type of vegetable oil that is safe to be ingested and rub it on your middle finger. Then lay down on your back and put your legs up and knees up to your chest and stick your lubricated finger inside your butt slowly. It will take a couple of tries and good breathing to expand your butt hole enough so that you can relax and get your finger deep inside enough to feel a little ball type organ (which is your prostate) and you massage that gently in a circular motion. It is going to feel very weird to do this and your going to wonder if you can actually do this as your trying but trust me you can. Be patient. Rub your finger gently on your prostate in a circular motion for about 30 seconds gently and when you pull your finger out you will notice a little white type fluid which is the drainage of the prostate. You will feel instant relief. Once you do this once you will want to do it again or any time the pain returns. Do this for 1 week straight once a day and this pain will never come back. I have been prostatitis free for over 5 years. I did my part in sharing this information. Good luck to all.

the prostate massage fix all your issue?
fluid came out from urethra??
if thats solve all your issue, then its some non bacterial congestion in your prostate??

This is misleading. I spent 7 months at a clinic in Athens which specializes in extremely rigorous prostate massage (twice daily, 6-days per week) along with antibiotics and even antibiotic injections into the prostate. Some guys were at the clinic for years and I only saw one guy get cured from this method (and I spoke to 50+). However, prostate massage/drainage can be a good way to reduce inflammation and symptoms. But seven days of self massage will NOT cure chronic prostatitis.
"Cure" means eradication of the offending bacteria and complete remission of symptoms.

sounds like you have a very competent doctor. I have had prostatitis off and on for years, and the doctor just tried medication after medication, without any thorough testing or creative approach. I am glad you found the cause! Good luck.

I have been away for a few years and wanted to give an update. I have found that my condition has not been bacteria related. The test that I recommended is nonsense, doesn't work. DNA High powered testing is detecting bacteria that is not offending. The only test that proves you have a bacterial infection causing our symptoms is a growth test of semen prostate fluid or urine. That along with elevated white blood cell count means you have an infection. All cases of positive bacteria finding with out white blood cell count elevations is a non offending bacteria found on your test. I am currently taking lyrica and cialis and it's working really well. My recommendation is if you do not have elevated white blood cell in your fluids you do not have infection and do not take ABX, do not trust the DNA test. I am on many forms in boards and not one case of Prostatitis has been cured with antibiotics without elevated white blood cell cout. If you don't have elevated white no infection.

Thanks for the update michael, its nice to see someone stick to the forums and provide updates, a lot of people post their problem and disappear once they've found a solution.
I've been going through the exact same thing as you, Im 42 and have been in pain for the last 5-6 months. Seen countless (and lot of useless urologists), done multiple urine tests, cultures, sensitivity tests (all negative for bacteria), have had several DREs (with and without massage), pelvic MRI, renal ultrasound, blood tests, etc, etc. I spend my entire day on a heating pad and nights struggling to find a good position to sleep where my prostate feeling and urethra discomfort doesn't bother me. Like you I've been on cipro, and levoquin (also did cefro and doxcy). All kind of helped and then as soon as I was done problems started back.
I had a cystoscopy done (not sure if youve had one) and they found "patchy erythema" in the bladder and urethra, I was on steroid packs twice to control the inflammation which may be gone (no way to see unless they do another cystoscopy), but the prostate feeling and urethra discomfort is still there. I just did another PCR/sensitivity test today, but your last comment worries me that they may show a false positive. I have a PT appointment tomorrow as the nurse for my urologist believes my remaining issue is related to pelvic floor dysfunction. I am going to try PT but I appreciate you listing lyrica and cialis. I haven't tried those yet and will ask my urologist for them (not sure if he will give them to me but Ill see). This has been hell and I'm glad you've found something that helps.

I am unsure whether WBC elevation in the semen, prostate fluid, or urine is the Gold Standard for declaring an infection everywhere in our body. Please see below, first paragraph, line six.

Abstract
A total of 1442 patients with symptoms of chronic prostatitis were examined over a 4-year period at the Outpatient Department for Urogenital Infections, University Hospital for Infectious Diseases “Dr. Fran Mihaljevic”, Zagreb, Croatia. An infectious aetiology was determined in 1070 (74.2%) patients. In 561 of 1070 (52.4%) patients the inflammatory finding (>10 WBC/hpf) was found in expressed prostatic secretions (EPS) or voided bladder urine (VB3). Normal, <10 WBCs/hpf was found in 362 of 536 (67.5%) patients with symptoms of chronic prostatitis in whom Chlamydia trachomatis was detected in EPS or VB3, in 51 of 151 (33.8%) patients with isolated Trichomonas vaginalis and in 40 of 72 (55.6%) patients with isolated Ureaplasma urealyticum.
Escherichia coli was the causative pathogen in 95, Enterococcus in 68, Proteus mirabilis in 37, Klebsiella pneumoniae in 16, Streptococcus agalactiae in 19, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa in 3 patients with chronic prostatitis. Other patients had a mixed infection. In patients with chronic bacterial prostatitis (CBP) caused by E. coli, P. mirabilis, K. pneumoniae, E. or S. agalactiae, an inflammatory finding was regularly found in EPS or VB3.

Hello people,
I've just been diagnosed with CP. My symptoms are pain in my right testicle, penile pains, especially in the urethra, more so on the tip of penis inside the glan. These symptoms usually occur a few days to a week after sexual activity. These symptoms would usually go for a couple of weeks to a couple of months and just gotten worse overtime.
Can anybody relate to having these symptoms?

my names sam and I'm 36 years old and got diagnosed with prostatitis 3 years ago. I contracted a bacterial infection in my prostate whilst on holiday in Portugal with my fiance. We were in the sea and for the first time ever I needed to urinate so my other half suggested I take a wee in the sea. After stopping and starting I found I needed another wee after leaving the sea. within a matter of days i found my self hotel room bound SCREAMING in agony as everything from my rear end to the tip of my penis was on fire and was in excruciating pain. I visited a pharmacy and was advised it could be a water infection so took cystitis pills which was like firing BB's at a freight train. After travelling through hell to get back home I visited a doctor again being told it could be a water infection. After a week on medication and on the verge of suicide I went back to the GP and he carried out a prostate exam and was in formed that I had en enlarged prostrate and then was prescribed Alfafusin. I was then referred to urology where they carried out a urine and prostate and blood exam and they concluded I had bacterial Prostatitis...but let me tell you in took almost 12months to get this diagnosis. Over the past 3 years I've had many exams and also under gone a prostrate message and camera in my bladder (Which caused 2 week infection), after that my symptoms subsided and felt the relief of not living in my toilet but this was only temporary as within a matter of days I was back to urinating atleast 20 times a day and was informed that this is life long with no cure just treatment. I'm back in portugal and after 6 days feel like I've just contracted it again and have spent another 5 days room bound screaming in pain even with medication(Alfafusin). I'm trying to find any relief possible as suicide is looking really nice compared to living this nightmare with no end in sight, I've tried walking, drinking, masturbating (as its said that clearing the prostate can give relief) but still to no avail. does anyone know what else can be done to relief the symptoms as I cannot get an early flight and antibiotics need a prescription but not willing to pay 150 euros to get a scription. Please help???

I have prostatitis and My doctor has put me on bactrim and I hope it clears it up. I have my doubts..See, I've been on this road before 26 years ago when I was 20 years old. I struggled back then with it for almost a year, I took Cipro for about 6 months and it finally cleared up. I haven't had any issues again, only the occasional UTI over the years. This time when I started to have issues, I was passing it off as getting older, I'm 46 and my symptoms were different than when I was 20. I finally went to dr and was prescribed flomax because of the symptoms I was having. It helped with the urinary issues, however some of the other problems remained, I messaged my doctor about some side effects of Flomax I was having that were bothersome and he looked at my labs and messaged me and told me the lab hadn't given him all the results back until 2 days ago and I have an infection and he wants to give me an antibiotic. I hope this isn't a replay of what I went through when I was 20.
