Flashing arcs and blobs in left eye for 9 years

Is it kind of like a lava lamp blob?

Yes. I have the lava lamp beads going up my eye, usually when closed.

Wow similar symptoms for sure

I get flashing arcs, in this pattern now, up and down, up and down, down and up and sometimes down and.down. On top of that I have circular blobs or orbs of.light. This always happens when I blink. The circle blobs of light are harder to deal with than the flashing arcs. Now without even blinking I get the arcs while driving under a bridge from light to dark.

I get the circle blobs also. Ive told my eye doc all this and he just brushes it off

I told my doctor it feels like light is reflecting off my eyes at times,if that makes any sense

I'm starting to get that too. Like refractive light.

I don't know what it takes with these doctors. I really only feel that if one tells them that they can't live with it anymore, they might do something. I've read about people who hAve become suicidal and in tears when they walk into the doctors office, and only then will they maybe even consider doing something about it. I used to love to read. I can't anymore. I am an artist and this has.impacted my life beyond anything I thought I would have to cope with. I will keep replying to you. Thank you for listening. That must be so hard,me too,i avoid reading,now its podcasts. Hard at Christmas time also,trying to get things done,having the family over Christmas eve and hard to deal with it. Xx

Thanks Lee. I forgot to ask. Do you get pain in and/or around your eyes from this? I feel like a very faint tinge of pain sometimes right above my eye near the brow bone. Don't know if it's related to pvd or not?

No,well..i do sometimes when i have sinus.

Doctors don't give a rats butt,so many people with the arc called negatived

dysphotopsia.. I feel dam blind.. sometimes when I go into Walmart can even see... I also get filmy vision on and off..cloudy vision,do dry eye DROPS do nothing .. Go to facebook type in negative dysphotopsia

Can be jack a $$es. Might try a lawsuit at mine bUT don't know if that would even work.

I wonder if it is something vascular related as well.
