FSH Level Help

Posted , 8 users are following.

Had a blood test for menopause. My (UK) FSH level came back at 58.9. Is this indicative of peri-menopause, it is a high level, I have no idea what this means. Please could someone kindly explain the readings to me ?

Hello Ladywear, my symptoms are hot flushes, no sleep, low bone density... I have just started HRT 4 days ago as the benefits outway the risks for me but, before this I controlled my hot flushes by taking Menopace night which you can get from boots, I was also on the mini-pill so this may have helped.

I have been in menopause for a while I am 46 and I have been dealing with bad palpitations at night durring the day and when I am lying down. I also get very moody and cry and yell.

I just want the palpitations to stop I have prayed and prayed and cried but it seems to be on going. Just want to hide, scream and cry all fed upsad

Good luck going through peri menopause take what ever helps you to relax and keep calm

Susan, have you been referred to a cardiologist about this? I suffered with palpitations when I was going through peri/menopause, and was inclined to think 'oh, just another menopause symptom'. Then I had a medical procedure for something quite unrelated, and they found that I had quite a serious arrythmia problem. This is now medicated and under control, but if your palpitations are frequent and severe, I do urge you to have it investigated, if you haven't already done so.

      Hi Susan

I had bad palpitations at night too and I found that by eating the evening meal early and then not having anything other than water to eat or drink up to bed time stopped them.  I also lost some weight 😉
