Morning folks :D

Just thought I would start up this popular thread once again ....... as we seem to have temporarily lost the last one :?

I am still trying to find out exactly what went wrong .... may take a bit of time, but never mind ...... we can continue our amazing postings as per usual :ok:

It's tipping it down here which makes a change, and they promise gales for this evening ... so that will be something to look forward to

Have a good day everyone :D

    Morning everyone :D

Just a quickie before I dash off for the train

Oh that was a real pain Alicia ..... poor Adam .... I hate anything to do with water leaks  ( In my next life, I am going to marry a plumber  ) ...... but I don't really know what he expected you to do about it at that time of night. Why is that that our 'children' still like to inform us of all their problems

Hope everyone has a reasonable day. How I would love to breath some lovely sea air you lucky West Country gals :surfer:

Have just put on a pair of trousers that I haven't worn for yonks .....and boy are they tight  Anyone got a shoehorn handy? Feel quite depressed now sad :wah:

Speak later .... if I am spared

Good luck Katie - hope you manage it all without feeling too awful-

yes, definitely put your feet up when you get home with Kristal's clotted cream (I'll send some Dorset scones and strawberry jam )

    Take care

Oh Alicia - I really hate it when people ring me in a state, and there's nothing you can do; it sends my stress-levels sky-high

Why do they do it

I've put on a pair of jeans today that I haven't worn for ages and I'm sitting here trying to tell myself they're fine ( ) - I think I bought them during a very thin phase :?

I think they'll have to be changed for my usual baggyish ones very soon

Oh Alicia - you're having a really tiring time :?

Well done for coping with a financial adviser  (I go glazed at the mention of one !)

Hope you can rest tomorrow (and the next day, and the next day!)

I rang the benefits people yesterday to see if there was any news after my medical (5 weeks now!).

Very helpful lady said her supervisor (!) said that I've \"passed \" (failed??!!) the SDA medical and they've signed me off until - wait for it -

    [b:cefe405c6f]2020[/b:cefe405c6f]

I will be[b:cefe405c6f] 65 [/b:cefe405c6f]by then  so they're obviously not optimistic about a cure

I must have come across as even worse than I thought I was :yikes: :

I told the lady I wanted that in writing, and I'll believe it when I get the

    letter

Do you think that maybe they'll leave me alone now or will I start getting stairlift ads :nahnah:

Oh that's good news Daisy (I think)

At least once you get it in writing then it will be one thing you won't have to fret about anymore

I hope you don't eventually go [i:ef82bf28fe]bang[/i:ef82bf28fe] Alicia when you eventually come down off the adrenalin :?

    Hi Everyone smile

Just wanted to pop in and say hi to you all - sorry i've been awol but have been having a bit of a rough time - i really hate what is happening to me because of this rotten illness - as you all do sad

I'm sorry that most of you have also had your own troubles too - Trees with her car, Lou Lou with her chest, Daisy with her migraine, Mo with her hubby, Kristal with the Kaftan's, Katie and the dentist, Alicia and son Adam's water problems, Dale and her impending surgery - only Teedie seems to be okay-ish at the moment (long may it continue  )

Sorry if i've forgotten anyone or anything - am feeling completely :weird: and :erm: and :bruised: again!

Hope you all start feeling better soon (perhaps when the weather warms up we will all pick up again - i really hope so :wah: )

Nearly forgot - had a letter today from the ME clinic to say that they got my........ [i:5292878094]thingy[/i:5292878094] - and that i'm on the waiting list - so thats a step further forward I suppose

Take care all and i hope to be back to my not-quite-normal-but-wacky self soon

Evening all :D ..... (please note the shining white very expensive gnashers  )

Well I survived London and the dentist ..... came straight home and straight to bed ... out like a light for two hours

Don't feel too bad at the mo, but this illness sure is an odd one .... yesterday I was in loads of pain, today painfree (apart from usual sore shoulders) but boy have I felt wonky and dizzy ..... made a big mistake in coming down on the escalator from the ladies loo in John Lewis ..... was holding on for dear life

Alicia, can I please borrow your financial adviser cos I am now well and truly broke:yikes: .....and my bank balance is now zilch

Daisy and Kristal I really did appreciate the Dorset scones and Devonshire clotted cream tea on my return ....... thanks a bunch for organising that :ok:Am quite partial to Dorset knobs too Daisy ...... in fact I could tell you a funny story about those but tis a bit rude

Daisy, I'm so glad that you are able to laugh at being signed off until 2020  This ME thingy is obviously going to be rather a slow process then ........

Lovely to hear from you again Julia ...... sorry to hear that you have been a bit on the :weird: :yuk: side. Hope you begin to feel a bit better soon sad

Oh we now have the ads for ..... clotted cream and [size=18:e92893e108]sausages  [/size:e92893e108]

Oh Katie, what beautiful, white, sparkling teeth :D

Ugh, I know the escalator feeling (actually the lift-feeling isn't much better :weird: ).......glad you enjoyed the cream tea; my imagination is working overtime re. Dorset knobs!

Sounds as if you need a nice long rest after all that excitement - well done for doing it though; now you can forget London for a while :ok:

Has anyone any tips for aching neck and painful shoulders (I think that's why I'm getting these migraines )....I'm trying to sit properly while I type but, oh it really hurts sad Maybe that's the fibro ??

Roll on 2020 when apparently I'll be well

Hello Mo - right, your cream tea has been ordered :tea: :ok:

Yes, it's been all cloudy and drizzly down here as well, very gloomy

As you say, hopefully I won't be called for another medical for a while !

(I'm trying desperately to look on the bright side here :? )

I think a hot bath seems to be the only thing that helps the neck and

shoulder pain - oh what a pain it is

Thanks for your tip re. pillows; a physio once told me I should sleep with 2 rather than one (pillows that is, not people  ) and it made it far worse

So I'll stick to my nice comfy one smile

Oh hello Alicia - thanks ; I'm going to stick a hot water bottle on my neck ! (haven't got a microwave  )

    Take care all

Evening all. :D I feel like - well I don't really know what I feel like, all squishy squashy and wibbulee wobberlee. :weird:

My doctor has given me some low dose beta blockers for my palpitations and jitteries and adrenaline rushes. Methinks my thyroid medication might need adjusting, I will find out in 2 weeks time.

I have stopped feeling like the sky is falling on me (Chicken Licken eat your heart out) and I don't feel like I am on Speed any more but I feel like a cake that someone has sat on. :silly:

Talking of cake, where are those buns I made earlier:run: :cupcake: :tea:

Remember to wrap it in a tea towel first Daisy, otherwise you will blister your neck to add to your problems. Wheat bags are good because you can mould them to your contours. Could you get one from that nice alternative shop on the corner opposite the post office?
