Morning folks :D

Just thought I would start up this popular thread once again ....... as we seem to have temporarily lost the last one :?

I am still trying to find out exactly what went wrong .... may take a bit of time, but never mind ...... we can continue our amazing postings as per usual :ok:

It's tipping it down here which makes a change, and they promise gales for this evening ... so that will be something to look forward to

Have a good day everyone :D

Honestly girls ..... I'm sitting here laughing my head off

Love the 'naughty post' sign Alicia  Good one :ok:

I'm going to end up getting the sack at this rate

Daisy ... do you think that the person who gave you the 2020 info. perhaps is .. er .. slightly dyslexic with numbers :? It's a heck of a long way away ... we'll almost have had three more Olympic Games by then :tennis: :racket: :run: :flan:

Sorry your shoulders are so painful ..... I would say that is def the fibro :nurse: ...... I'm often sitting here typing whilst balancing a wheat bag on my shoulders ...... have got it down to a fine art now :artist:

Mo .... I find talking one of the most tiring things ever[/size:9be1acc364] ... it's all to do with the concentration, and as for talking on the phone, well I try to avoid it at all costs :yikes:

Right, off to watch Grand Designs now ..... the house in question has been built by a friend's daughter and s-in-law and is only a stone's throw from here so should be interesting :D

    Take care everyone

Forget what i wanted to say to you all

Katie, glad you survived your dental trip :D

Daisy, hope you reach 65  At my last session today at my wellness course we were doing stretch exercise with the physio. She had a good stretch to prevent headaches, i will try and explain.

If you stand up straight and move your head back as though you are giving yourself a double chin and are pushing your chin towards the back of your neck, not moving your body. Is that as clear as mud

Alicia, sounds like you had a lovely time with Gabriella but do rest now. Hope Adam gets his water works sorted :?

Mo, glad you got a diagnosis and hopefully will get some help at your referral. :D

Kristal, hope you continue to feel okayish

Julia, nice to hear from you and just pop in when you can :D

Lou Lou, hope you're ok smile

Trees, hope you've survived all your trials and tribulations, take it easy sad

Dale, hang on in there bud

Sorry if i've missed you out.

I'm still feeling not too bad but had start of migraine yesterday, couldn't see for about 10 mins in work, had to sit down but took Ibuprofen straight away as i knew it was the sign of a migraine. I just ended up with a thumping headache as i managed to nip it in the bud. Topped up pain relief with paracetamol so i survived and felt not bad after lunch.

Using my sleeping tablets so managing to sleep from about 10pm til 6am without wakening but don't want to get used to them. I tend not to take them at weekend but that is when i am trying to recharge my batteries so would like to sleep. I'm tired tonight.

Daisy - I would definitely stick with a hot water bottle for your neck - a microwave would be most uncomfortable, and heavy too

Just got a copy of an e-mail from a friend all about CFS and having to detox your body etc also about how it can cause heart failure and other organ failure and the brain damage it can cause etc quite scary stuff supposed to have been written by a Welsh doctor who wants you to send off for testing kits to do specific blood tests to determine how much damage you've done to your body also she will supposedly send results to your doctor all for approx £295 got me really worried have any of you heard of any of this or is it just one of those money making rackets also said something about taking different vits and minerals which of course she can supply any info appreciated

What a load of old codswallop Mo

I would just completely ignore it ..... it seems yet another person is jumping on the ME band-wagon in the hope of making their fortune

We are a very vulnerable bunch of individuals and and there will always be people out there trying to exploit us ..... and I'm quite convinced that this Welsh 'doctor' is one of them

So he or she can go and make a running jump as far as I am concerned

Some sufferers swear that certain vitamins help ME, but the instructor of my ME course (an ex pharmacist who is a sufferer herself) maintains that apart from a cod liver oil tablet we are wasting our money with anything else.

A good balanced diet and pacing (boring)[/size:0483d5ea57] seems to be the only way forward so far

That's the way, Katie, tell it like it is

It's true though, there are all sorts of 'cures' out there ready to relieve us of our money.

Dr Mitchell at the MNEC did advocate the use of Omega 3 and 6 fish oils and I did find them beneficial for a long time when I was all but useless, until I started to improve. I think I might start them again because I am feeling quite useless again after the last 3 days. An amoeba ain't got nothin' on me. :silly:

Oh dear, it's not my day today - I've now written 2 long posts and lost this in case I lose it again them both :yikes:

So here we go again but this will have to be quick cos I'm starting to go wonky and I have to go to the gallery .

Thank you for all your tips re. my neck/shoulders that are so :bleep: painful.......I thought you had to heat those wheat pad thingys in a microwave

Mo- as the others have said, only omega 3 has been proven to help ME; I take a multivitamin but that's because I don't eat as much as I should

Katie - re the 2020 thing : I'll believe it when (and if) I get the letter I asked for....it does seem rather odd :cdouble:

Right , I'll see if I can copy this in case I lose it again

    :run:

    Hello again everyone smile

Daisy - you do use a microwave for the wheat bag thingy's, i was just being silly imagining you with a microwave on your neck  Its just ME being wierd - take no notice smile

Mo - Its Daisy who's been signed off till she's 65 smile I won't be 65 for another 26 years  and i hope to god i'm not still feeling like this then  Blimey, that doesn't bare thinking about does it sad

Katie (grandma) - What big white teeth you have  Please don't eat ME

Alicia - I'm slowly getting there, thanks  It just feel like one thing after another sometimes, doesn't it sad Roll on some nice weather - the house won't feel like such a prison if i can at least get outside for some air :?

Oh the screen is starting to give ME a headache again (why is this happening all of a sudden, i've never been affected by it before) sad

    hello everyone, :D

thanks all, i am pretty much recovered from my ordeal, although my car now has a whopping great dent in it where i drove in to the tree sad ah well, at least it wasn't my head

is it just me or does everyone sound really busy! i hope everyone is resting enough, and not all trying to be superwoman!

mo, im glad you've found a sympathetic doctor - it really can be tough :x

went to the clinic today :doctor: so am shattered but also feeling like im doing something proactive. first thing i have to do is sort my sleep out. apparently ive got to go 'cold turkey'  and learn to only have 9hours a night. if i wake up in the night or have a bad night's sleep ive still got to get up at the same time so that my body starts to get in to a routine. im not looking forward to this first few days of this, i can tell you!

ive also got to pace for 20mins, four times a day and get try and get myself stabilised over the next couple of weeks. will keep you all posted...

ps is anyone watching american idol on digital?

its ace - the contestants are better than our best ones and worse than our worst ones! :D

  • Posted

Er ...... haven't heard of that one Trees .... not even sure whether we are digital here yet ... bit out in the sticks

Good luck with the sleep pattern thing .....not sure about that one :? Don't really envy you having to try either .... when I need to sleep, I [b:fb91860510]need[/b:fb91860510] to sleep

What do they mean by pacing [b:fb91860510]four times [/b:fb91860510]during the day ..... sounds more like a route march :? Do they mean you [b:fb91860510]stop[/b:fb91860510] four times a day :?

    I'm feeling ultra-thick today

I think Trees must mean she has to [b:7437d0b931]rest[/b:7437d0b931] for 20 mins 4 times a day -

but the vision of her pacing about for 20 minutes is funnier

I find it hard enough to stop [b:7437d0b931]once [/b:7437d0b931]during the day (that could be why I feel so ghastly tonight  )

No I haven't discovered American Idol yet Trees - might see if I can find it :nahnah:

    Take care all

Hi Trees, Hi Mrs Mod smile

Katie do you know why we only have one page of experiences now? Have we taken up too much forum space with all our posts, and they have had to cut us down to just the one page?

I used to like going back through some of the old posts sad

Trees - good luck with your re-programming  I hope it won't take you too long to crack it or you'll be completely washed out :? But i suppose it makes sense really, doesn't it  My body-clock went up the swanny when i was pregnant (slept all day, awake all night) and it was very difficult to turn it around again sad
