Take someone with you if at all possible. Have a read through your "how your disability affects you form" before you go, so you can remember what you said. They will ask you question about your condition and how it affects you daily. Don't just answer no or yes. If you can't do something say so and tell them why you can't do. The more info you give the better your chances. If you have anymore evidence then please take this with you (copies not originals) Don't rely on them gathering evidence or contacting any medical professional because they almost NEVER do this. A claim isn't really worth anything with the vital evidence. Tell the truth if you can do something sometimes then tell them this. Remember PIP is about reliability, regularly and in a timely manner. Lastly you'll be watched from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave.
I have had 2 and in all honesty i didn't find them that bad. I was probably lucky and had a very understanding assessment provider. Good luck and let us know the outcome.

Hi Denise
Thank you for replying, I will be going with my partner as he is my carer. I can't drive anymore and can't walk far or sit or stand for too long at a time so public transport is out of the question. I have had to recently give up work so have a new report from occupational health and will take that. I am also now being tested for celiac disease! It's been a horrible 2016 with everything that has happened, hope 2017 is a little better x

Mine was with Atos it wasn't as bad as expected, mine was at home as I am mainly confined to bed at mo. Waiting on another op. But just tell them as much as u can and ask what there profession is tell them I'll be asking for a copy of there report. But at the end of the day these companies get paid million s to assess people for pip. Wether the assessment is needed or not. There trained to make assumptions and they tell lots of lies . Many will vouch for this good luck. As shame we have to practically beg for some financial support. Yet many have paid there taxes for yrs and have paid into the system but can not get anything back it's a joke .

Hi Arlene,,,,I got my appointment for my face to face before christmas and spent the ''festive'' season stressed, anxious which in turn triggered off mega flare up in my numerous physical ailments....mentally it worsened my issues and I was on the verge of cancelling the whle thing....anyway my F2F was today,,,,all i can say is that the nurse was really nice and did the whole thing as quickly as she could. I had supplied a large amount of information and she wncouraged my cousin to come in with me....The physucal test was over in about 2 minutes as I was in agony...she was understanding and polite and put me at ease....BUT im no fool...it could be the case of the '''smiling assassin'' so to speak. But id certainly advise anyone not to worry....at the end of the day we have to get this into perspective...I know the money and help is beneficial and sometimes necessary but it really isnt the be all and end all....saying that i know myself how important help and assisstance can be including financially but try and not worry as much as you are as I made myself 10 times worse....good luck!!!

Yes I will do, it doesn't give you much faith in the system x

There no such thing as faith when it comes to this government system. It's a case of fight for everything or get nothing. Shouldn't be that way giving many of us have paid into the system.
