Has anyone beat pinworm/threadworm after having them for a long time?

I've now had pinworms for about 5 months, they've migrated to my female parts, and I believe they are also in my nose and ears. They don't really itch anymore in my lower half, I keep those areas very clean -- BUT that incessant squirming is an ongoing nightmare. I'm 33 and single and really want to be dating, but I know as long as I have them I can't risk giving them to somebody else. It's a very depressing realization to know that I may never be able to have a boyfriend again or get married. I think my doctor believes me, but the internal diseases specialist he referred me to does not and told me I probably just have dry skin down there (dry skin that WRIGGLES? I don't think so). The samples I gave them of course had no eggs on them, I'm guessing it's because I am now being retroinfected, otherwise I really have no explanation.

What I want to know is -- has ANYBODY else who had them for many months (or years, or decades) been able to finally get rid of them??? How did you do it?? Here's what I have tried that has NOT worked:

MEDICINES: Reese's, Albenza, Vermox (high doses). Yeast infection cream mixed with garlic.

NATURAL REMEDIES: Diatomaceous earth (food grade - taken orally and also spread on maxi pads and vaginal wipes), garlic cloves and powder, vinegar, pumpkin seeds, clove & wormwood tincture. Garlic and vinegar douche. Eating mainly vegetarian foods.

PILLS: Garlic, zinc, wormwood, clove and black walnut.

I read that some mountain folk eat tobacco to get rid of them, but it makes you really sick. I am afraid to try it, but I feel like I better try absolutely everything. I just can't fathom living with these things potentially for the rest of my life sad

I hope you can find a way to beat this. I haven’t had this myself but I feel really sorry that you have to go through this.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I had them for a few years when I was about your age for the same reason, which was that I was too shy and embarrassed to tell anyone.  I even researched and tried home remedies, but to no avail.  Finally, I worked up my nerve and told my mom, and she took me to the doctor.  My doctor took my word for it and didn't even do a rectal exam but just prescribed pills for me, and in a couple of weeks the problem was gone.  Just want you to know I understand how you feel, but really, it's not something that has to dominate your life!

Anna, you and I both. I have had this for 5 years and I know exactly where I caught them and whom from. Shoulda coulda woulda but I am still fighting them now. I took Albenza 12 days ago and I still feel them however some days are better than others. I am religiously cleaning using gloves and my diet consists of only foods with fiber, probiotics, apple cider vinegar, aloe juice, tons of raw garlic, and water!! I was kicked out of my place, and am staying with a friend but I am so scared I will get reinfected. I am relieved to have found a site where I can reach out to people because I have felt completely alone and to the point of not wanting to be here anymore but I am staying positive and still fighting.

Have you tried MSM?? I have been dealing with pinworms for 5 years. Boy do I have a story to tell. I'm giving MSM a try thanks to Joey from this site. Today was day one of two tablespoons. I will continue to take it and let you know how it goes. Are you doing better?? I would love to communicate.

Hi, what is MSM? I'm still suffering 8 years later....I get reinfected all the time  and no one else in the family gets it, ever! At the moment I taking albendazole again, third time I trying that medication. I don't have much hope as it all has been unsuccessful before. Not sure what to do??

MSM is dietary sulfur. It was the only thing to clear mice infected with pinworms so we tried it. Still worm free 😄

It sounds like Joey is onto something. Yes, MSM is sulfur. Parasites hate that. What it is suppose to do is create a barrier between your intestinal lining and the parasites. Parasites need to be able to cling onto you in order to obtain your nutrients and be able to live and reproduce. MSM is suppose to break that bond between the parasite and its host! I'm giving it a try, taking two tablespoon twice a day for a month straight. I will keep you updated if you would like and I know it is so frustrating when you feel like you've tried everything!! We have to keep fighting them though. Do not give up.

I have just discovered I have them. However, by chance, I took a bath with Epsom salt, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide (kinda a common bath mix). The terrible itching symptoms went away the next day! I think it is the hydrogen peroxide, probably killing the eggs. Will continue this as I incorporate the other things. Easy enough to do.

Hey have you had any luck with MSM? Or anything else? Have been suffering for 5 months, today finished a month of 400mg vermox daily & they didn't even stop for a day! My life feels on hold as I cannot live it as normal while this infection is going on every day. I'm starting to get anxiety stacks when I think this may go on for years and years - my marriage won't survive that!!!

Anna, try Redman chewing tobacco. Ive had them for 5+ years and nothing has helped or expelled them. Since my last post, i am finally starting to see them come out. Im still praying this completely elimates them all! Hang in there. Best, Chelsea

Hold on tight, its going to be a bumpy ride! Dealing with them is no joke, i know. Ok, so what finally has been working for me is Red mans chewing tobacco. Eat food, ingest tobacco and poop. Repeat. I was doing everything and then some trying to get them out and no medicine, herb, or dietary supplement was working. I last posted 6 months ago and have been battling since. I started the tobacco 11 days ago, they will crawl like crazy, but its working. Why? Because im finally seeing the effers come out. Also, advice would be to drink cloves. This will kill the eggs. I have clove oil that i add to my vicks vapor rub and i shove that up my butt and with another glove, i rub on my V. This has been the only remedy thats worked when all the doctors i saw and trusted failed me. I hope this helps. God bless, Chelsea.

Hi, how tobacco are you eating and how much do you weigh?  Thanks!

How much tobacco do you ingest?  Isn't nicotine deadly?  Are you still alive and cured?  Where can I find more info on using tobacco for parasites?  I had also heard of doing enemas with loose tobacco and milk, does anyone know about that?  Would American Spirit Organic tobacco work just as well?  many thanks!
